“I’ll make it work,” the man grit out the words, obviously scared. “You keep your sick games pointed elsewhere.” His booted feet stepped over Jada’s head, and he started running up the dock.

“Jenny, you need to keep it in your pants,” Naomi sighed. “You already tortured our Risk Guard leak, and then you got to cut up and kill Butch after you found him going at it with our little genius here. Really, Sis, two men in one day should be enough, even for you.”

“It’s this job,” the woman grumbled.

“No, it’s not, it’s the director who has you stressed. He’s been stringing you along for two years, you need to be shot of him.”

“Naomi, don’t tread there, never tell me to get rid of my man. You know your boundaries, don’t stray over the line.”

“I’m your sister, and I’m telling you that you’re heading for a fall. He’s using you, and therefore using me.”

A cell phone rang.

“Fuck, that’s his ringtone,” Naomi said with disgust.

“You watch her, make sure she doesn’t choke to death. My man needs me.”

As soon asRyker started the engine, Gideon started to make calls. Even though all signs pointed to his hunch being right, he still knew there was a chance he could be full of shit, and he was putting Jada’s life on the line with a hunch.

“I gave you an update a half hour ago,” Dex answered the phone. “We’ve tracked down nine of the leads, so far everything looks clean.”

“Get everyone on the line,” Gideon demanded.

“You got it, I’ll do it now.” Dex hung up.

That’s why he liked working with the best; these men knew when not to ask questions and just get shit done.

It took less than a minute. “We’re on. You’ve got me, Clint, and Kane.”

Gideon had his phone hooked to the car’s speaker system so that Ryker could be in on it too and they could all hear the same thing at the same time.

“I had a hunch. I thought Jada might also be doing a search on Risk Guard.”

“Something totally off the grid?” Clint asked.

“Yep. Using a different identity, different hardware, IP, the whole nine yards.”

“And we would have no way to know what would make her that suspicious, right?” Kane asked.

“Nope,” Gideon agreed again. “So, I had to go at this another way. I asked myself if there was anything here in this area that was connected to Risk Guard. The only thing that we found is a shell real estate company that they created under a couple of subsidiaries. That real estate company owns a huge house, isolated on the coast, located on the water with a dock. They have a forty-two-foot yacht that they own as well. That’s where Ryker and I are heading now. I’ve already texted the address to Dex.”

“I received it and forwarded it to the rest of you,” Dex said.

“Heading to the house is your only play,” Kane agreed.

“That’s what we think, too,” Ryker said. “Gideon came prepared. I don’t know how he thought he could Rambo it with two automatic rifles, but I’m glad he did, because that means I got one to play with one too.”

Everyone on the phone laughed.

“Do you have specs on the house?” Clint asked.

“No,” Gideon answered.

“You will in under five minutes. Lydia grabbed the address, she’ll have the architectural CAD in a PDF format to the house sent to you via e-mail soon. You do want it e-mailed, right?” Clint asked.

Gideon chuckled. “Yes, I want to see it on my tablet, not on my phone.”
