The three of them cracked up.

This was definitely a side of Mac Jacqueline had never seen before.

“Jericho is corralling everyone outside for games,” Hawk explained.

“Babe,” Addison began, “you remember my friend, Jack.”

“Oh, hey,” Hawk replied. “It’s been a while.”

Jacqueline nodded, her attention jumping back to Prescott.

He was waiting, his hypnotic gaze drilling into hers. The thrill of staring into his eyes sent a frisson through her.

“We should head outside,” Addison said. “We paired you two up for the wedding. My cousin, Livy Savage, is my matron of honor and she’ll be walking down the aisle with her husband, so Prescott, you’re paired with Jack. Your only job is to make sure this amazing woman has a good time.”

“I can do that,” Prescott replied.

“Ohgod,” Jacqueline murmured.

Everyone stared at her.

“Did you hear my stomach growl?” Jacqueline lied, hoping to cover her slip up.

Prescott placed his hand on the small of her back. Her skin tingled from his touch. A touch she was now craving.

Lower. Drop your hand to my ass.

“We’ll get you something to eat before we head outside,” Prescott said.

“Go into the photo booth,” Addison said. “Nicholas and I want memories ofeverything.”

This time, Jacqueline bit back a smile. They could take some very spicy pics in that photo booth to document theirrealrelationship.

Hawk and Addison vanished out the sliding glass doors. Now, alone, again, with Mac, Jacqueline squared her shoulders. She had to get a handle on her emotions… not to mention her libido.

“Let’s get you some food,” he said, but he hadn’t removed his large hand from her back.

“I don’t think I can stomach anything.”

Leaning close, he murmured, “Do I need to take you upstairs and relax you?”

She swallowed. That was a phenomenal idea that would never, ever happen. “I… um… that’s not—”

“Deep breath,” he murmured. “I’ve been asked to keep you company, which I’m gonna do.”

“Ohgod, sorry. Addison is one of my closest friends in the world. Being Big and Little Sisters, we have a special bond. My kink is something shedoesn’tknow about.”

“I got you. You gotta trust me.”

Trust him? She hardly knew the man. She could absolutely trust him to take care of her sexually, but that was all she knew. Up until several hours ago, that was all she wanted to know.

I can do this.

Hanging with him would be no big deal, exceptthat she wanted him in the absolute worst way. But, she could pretend they were strangers for an hour or two, couldn’t she? They’d hook up later, never speak of today, and she’d be back on a plane by the end of the weekend.

End of story.

“So, no wife and six kids?” she asked.
