“Yes, I’m Sara’s Jenna.”
She fucking wishes.
“Oh, I don’t know. Jenna is pretty irreplaceable around here.”
Alexandria keeps her smile plastered on as she plays with her hair. “Reid Taylor, the actor?”
“That’s me,” his body language changes, and he has his game face on now.
“How do you know our Jenna?”
WTF–our Jenna? She’s been here all of five minutes. A small part of me wants to dry hump him, so she gets the message, but that wouldn’t be the real me. I’ve never been the PDA girl, except I really could get into it at the club.
“I’ll see you later,” Reid says before heading to the elevators. I hate I share this office space now. No more secret kisses from Reid during the workday.
Alexandria sits in the chair in front of my desk.
“How do you know Reid Taylor?” she asks like we’re girlfriends or something. Newsflash, we’re not.
“The writers for his show have office space in the building. Also, he and Adrien are friends.” I say. I’m not completely sure about that one, but it might blow her off his scent.
“Nice flowers,” she winks at me before getting up from the chair and returning to her desk.

DOMINIC
The phone on my desk hasn’t stopped ringing for the last two hours. Since Josh took on another big project last week, the office has been going crazy. Josh has a trip to London planned in a couple of weeks, and then things should start to get back to normal around here. I hope so, at least.
Reid: I think Jenna might be onto something.
Dominic: About what?
Reid: The new assistant. There’s something off about her.
Dominic: Yeah, I know what you mean.
Reid: There go our sneaky trips up to Jenna.
Dominic: And you know she’s not going to leave her alone in the office, so lunches are probably out too.
Reid: Fuck! You’re right.
Jenna is one of the best judges of character I know. Knowing that this is bothering her so much is eating me up.
Reid: Can you and Jenna stop by my office on your way out?
Dominic: Yeah.
Reid: See you later. I’ll text Jenna now.
While we knew Jenna needed her space tonight, neither of us wanted to leave her alone. But knowing her sister was away on a business trip, we also knew she’d have the place to herself, and we really wanted to see her. We both turned up at her front door less than thirty minutes after she got home. When she opens the door in her PJs that have seen better days, her hair is pulled off her face in a messy bun, and she has never looked sexier. But her bulging eyes tell us instantly that she never got our messages about us coming over. She slams the door in our faces as we hear a bunch of expletives followed by what I can presume is her banging her head against something hard.
“Jenna, Princess, open the door. I think you look sexy as hell in that outfit you have on.”
Reid laughs with his phone in his hands. “Babe, he’s right.”
The door flies open, and she motions for us to enter, though her body language screams the opposite.
