“Are you fucking kidding me?” I jerked at the sound of Jace’s angry voice. Confusion set in as I blinked and realized I was no longer in the car. How long was I out for, and where was I?

“Are you going to let me in or what?” That was Kai.

If my reflection in the gas fireplace was anything to go by, I was a mess. Quickly combing my fingers through my hair, I tried to get it to lie down with little success.

“Try not to trash the place this time,” Avro said.

I pushed myself to my feet as the three men walked into the living room, and it was as if all the windows had been thrown open to let in the midday heat. They stared at me like they were waiting for orders, and my brain flat-lined.

“Why are you all staring at me?” I looked down and smoothed out the Grimhead Crew sweatshirt I was wearing.

“What the hell are you wearing?” Kai crossed his arms. If he thought the band hoodie was bad, he would freak out when he saw the extra tattoos I got with Jace and Avro’s names.

“It’s my band hoodie, and it looks fucking amazing on her,” Jace said.

Kai glared, and the tension in the room tripled. I couldn’t deny I loved it. There was something far too sexy about the three of them in the same room together. The problem was I wasn’t sure how to approach this. Who did I go to first? Did it matter? Should it matter?

Kai made the decision for me when he stomped around the coffee table. My heart hammered hard as I stared into his blue eyes. A deep rumble rippled from his throat when he growled and wrapped his arms around my waist, dropping his lips to mine.

Our tongues battled as the burn in my stomach erupted into an inferno. Kissing Kai felt like drinking a sweet poison. So potent it could kill you, yet you could never get enough.

“Yeah, yeah, you made your point,” Jace drawled, and my cheeks flushed as I remembered we were being watched. This was more awkward than I thought it would be. Kai broke the kiss but kept his hand on my waist like I would try and run. “Don’t need to eat her alive.”

“Jealous rock star?”

Jace scoffed and crossed his arms over his chest. “After that plane ride home, not likely.” I felt Kai tense. “Nice tattoo, by the way. Such a great idea. So great I couldn’t resist adding my name. I took the prime spot between her legs too.”

Avro pinched the bridge of his nose as he swore under his breath, and I felt like doing the same as Kai made a deep primal noise.

“You think you’re smart, do you?” Kai let go of my waist and got in Jace’s face.

“Smart enough to have had cameras installed in all the rooms of the house, so if you’re planning on pulling a gun again, I’d think twice, asshole,” Jace said, his lip pulled up in a smirk. “Unless, of course, you liked prison enough to want to go back there for life.”

I didn’t know if Jace was telling the truth, this was news to me, but I looked around the room the same way Kai did.

“I really don’t like you,” Kai said.

“Aw, my heart is breaking,” Jace made a sniffling noise. I knew he was purposely trying to get under Kai’s skin now. That glimmer he got when he was enjoying himself way too much was back in his eye, and all I wanted to do was knock their heads together. “And here I thought we were going to be besties and braid each other's hair.”

“I’m going to knock your teeth out of your fucking head,” Kai growled.

“I’d like to see you try,” Jace said, stepping closer to Kai.

“Can you two not have a single, civil conversation,” I asked, and they both looked at me.

“No,” they said in unison.

“Wow, the first thing you can agree on. At least it’s a start.” I wandered to the bar and grabbed two bottles of wine from the selection and a pair of glasses. Holding up my hands, I motioned to Avro while the other two just stared. “Avro, why don’t we go upstairs and let these two work out their differences?” Avro smiled wide.

“I won’t say no to that. Less chance I get a fist in the face too,” he said, and stepped around Jace and Kai to meet me.

“You’re really going to leave us alone,” Kai asked.

“Why not? You’re both adults. At least, I think you are. You need to work this shit out so we can get on with an actual relationship. I don’t want to tippy-toe around the two of you. So say what you need to say to one another and be done with it already.” Avro took the wine from my hand and linked our arms together. “At least one of you thinks with more than the little head between your legs.”

“My cock is not little,” they said in unison again and then glared at one another.

Shaking my head, I did the only thing I could think of and left them alone. They could both end up dead, but they were grown-ass men, and I didn’t feel like playing ref for the rest of my life.
