My name is lost to me.

My past is a blank.

The only thing I know for certain

is that the man I’m married to…

isn’t really my husband.

He’s my brother’s best friend.

My brother’s right-hand.

And now, my husband.

He says he’ll protect me.

He says he’ll never let me go.

But the more I try to remember,

the more I realize…

I might be the only one

he was never meant to save.
