Gabriel edges along the pavement, phone to his ear, worried eyes on the window of a flat. He paces angrily, grips the phone, struggles to keep his voice down.
GABRIEL
Get back! Now! Run!
He ends the call, looks desperately to the window, then along the street. Waits.
EXT. HIGH STREET – DAY
As Holly jogs across a road, she spots Jonah, his expression dark as thunder.
JONAH
Why did you leave? Who did you speak to?
HOLLY
No one. Only a woman.
Jonah and Holly stamp along. Jonah is quietly irate.
JONAH
She could have been sent to kill us. To stop us destroying it. You know what Gabriel said. No contact with anyone. Ever again. Everything from before is over.
HOLLY
(scowls)
I know.
JONAH
Other people’s reality isn’t ours now. This is our life. This is what we’re here for.
EXT. STREET – DAY
Holly and Jonah pant to a halt before Gabriel. He seizes her arm, whispers harshly …
GABRIEL
You made us leave it alone! Exactly the sort of fuck-up the dark forces are waiting for.
Jonah and Gabriel glare at Holly.
JONAH
She told someone who we are.
Shocked, Holly glares at him.
HOLLY
(to Gabriel)
Just a lady at the church. She asked who I live with.
Gabriel paces with frustration, barely contains his anger, hisses in her ear.
