GA:I’ve no idea … taken away.
AB:I was told it was adopted by your family. Where are they now?
JA:Two hundred and fifty thousand.
AB:I don’t believe Gabriel Angelis killed Harpinder Singh.
GA:The right person is in prison.
AB:The Alperton Angels. Who were they really? Who was Marie-Claire?
JA:Three hundred thousand. That’s my final offer. [There’s a long silence here. I can’t tell what’s happening. EC] OK. Well, that’s up to you. [It sounds as if you’re walking away. You’re turning down so much money, Mand. EC]
AB:Wait.
JA:Changed your mind?
AB:You said you’d done it already. You’d already written down exactly what happened and it didn’t help.
GA:A creative writing class at college. I wrote a film script and used my school name, Rowley Wild. I hoped it would help create some distance for me, but no … I threw it away. No one else but us even read it.
AB:[As you walk away, you whisper …] Except the tutor.

It’s only part of the story, Els. It’s just what Holly experienced. I need to piece it together with everything else. With what I’ve got from people who were also there – Gray Graham, who took the first photograph of the crime scene, and Mark Dunning, who was riding in a patrol car with a dodgy copper.

Yes. But it’s the end – The Assembly. There’s no Raphael in the script. There may have been an alignment of stars that night – but there was also an alignment of cover-ups. The characters of Holly and Jonah are antagonistic, distant and frosty with each other. They aren’t a couple. She was genuinely clueless about where the baby went. What Don told me about her family adopting it can’t be true.
