”Bye,” he says, turning back to his work. Dominic works so fucking hard to keep us all in line and ready to go. He’ll be an excellent addition to Sunshine’s men. Four men to keep her safe.
I turn and head down the hallway from the office and gym toward the living area, and ultimately to my girl. I quietly open the door, seeing her tucked snugly into bed, napping. Shutting the door quietly, I turn and sneak to the bathroom. I shower at record speed, wrap a towel around my waist, and quietly grab a pair of boxers. Once I’m more or less dressed, I softly drag back the covers and crawl into bed, wrapping my body around hers. I’m so lucky to have this pure, wonderful woman to love, and I plan on showing her each day how much I treasure her.
As I lie wrapped around her, though, I remember talking to Cam. Jason is still out there. Cait hasn’t said anything regarding this potential danger – if there have been any recent developments. I’m going to have to check with her to see if they’ve caught him, or if anything has happened since Halloween. I worry about her. She’s still going to therapy; I have heard her mention it several times. As I drift off to sleep next to her, I can’t help but wish there was a way to fix everything for her.

Later that evening, we’re all sitting down for dinner. The chicken and rice bowls I made are fire; completely delicious. Dom, Cait, and I sit around the table laughing and joking, talking about the newest movie we’d downloaded to watch after dinner. Cam ran off earlier, I’m assuming to stew about what happened today, and Bast didn’t join us because his dad requested the whole family’s presence at a dinner for investors. Of course, that meant hours that Bast had to work for the store.
As we all finish up, Dominic stands and gathers our bowls and forks. “I’ll clean up, since you cooked, Corey,” he says, moving toward the kitchen.
I take the opportunity to check in with Cait, one-on-one. “Sunshine, have you heard anything from the detective?” I ask, reaching over and collecting her hand gently in mine. I hope for her sakesomethinghas been found.
”No, not since last time,” she says evasively. She fidgets with the water bottle cap for a silent moment before turning to look at Dom. “Hey, wait up, I’ll help,” Cait calls after him, pulling her hand from mine as she moves to stand and follow him. I catch his eye as he watches her, and I can tell he sees what I’m seeing. I’m worried about her, but maybe it’s just that she doesn’t want to talk while Dom is here. I nod my head in her direction, silently telling him to get started on talking to her without me. My girl needs a distraction, so I’ll give her what she needs.
”Alright. After using the restroom, I will get the movie set up. I’ll meet you two in the living room.” I move away from the table and down the hall to my room. Entering and shutting the door, I try to think of something I can do to stall and give them more time to chat. Brush my teeth, and light a candle to freshen my room. Tidy the few things on the dresser.
Finally, I can’t stall anymore. As I crack the bedroom door to listen, I hear Cait’s melodic giggle and smile. Dom is turning on the charm, and I couldn’t be more proud. I quickly extinguish the candle and move down the hallway, past the kitchen, and into the lounge area. Grabbing the remote, I turn the TV on before I look over my shoulder. Cait and Dom running around the kitchen, trying to snap each other with towels, is a hysterical thing to watch. I smirk at Dom chasing Sunshine around the island until he corners her. Closing her in with his arms braced on the fridge and counter, he leans in, whispering in her ear.
I watch closely, and when she meets my gaze, I smile and nod my head, encouraging her. Telling her I’m ok with this, and if I am, Bast would be too. She returns my smile and then whispers back to Dom. When she lifts a hand to his face, I turn to give them some privacy. I mean, I do make sure he seals the deal with a kiss, watching through the mirror on the wall beside the TV, but that’s beside the point.
By the time I’ve got the movie set up, Cait is on her way into the living room, with Dom hot on her heels. I specifically choose the recliner to make sure and give them time to sit together and bond over this new step into a relationship. The movie begins, and I reach above and behind me to pull the slider down to dim the lights. I can’t help but watch Cait settle in beside Dom, his arm wrapped around her shoulders, pulling her into his side. I smile and wonder just how far he’ll flirt tonight.
I’m quickly pulled into the movie, but when I get thirsty, I get up to grab some water. As I sit back down, I notice Dom playing with Cait’s hair, and a blushing smile gracing those perfect lips. I settle in to watch the movie and give them their privacy, all the while cheering for us all in my head.
Later, when the movie ends, Cait stands and stretches. Her shirt rides up her torso, and both Dom and I can’t help but stare at her ass right at eye level. Dom clears his throat and stands, making an excuse to leave before Cait can see his obvious boner.
”Ah, well, it’s getting late, and I’ve got to be up early tomorrow for training before work, so I’m going to head out. Cait,” he says, lowering his voice to a whisper, “I had a blast tonight. Please, make sure and let me know what night I can take you out this week. I can’t wait to spend time with you, just us.” He leans in, not that I’m watching or anything, and places a kiss on her cheek before pausing to let her pull away if need be, then moving to take her lips with his. Hot damn, Dom has moves.
”Ok, old man. Make the moves on our girl another night; it’s past your bedtime.” I can’t help but heckle him. He knows that’s what I’m doing because he flips me off as they end their kiss with laughter.
“Goodnight, Cait. Corey,” he calls as he turns to hide his obvious pre-dick-ament, “behave. And make sure and get your workout in before heading to the office tomorrow. I’d better see you in the gym before I leave at seven-thirty.”
I give him both my middle fingers as he laughs, exiting the house. Turning, I collect my Sunshine in my arms. “Mmm… you feel good in my hands. I bet Dom thought the same.” I step back, enough to meet her eyes. “Is everything ok there? I know Bast and I have been encouraging you to give him a chance, but I want to make sure you’re wanting that, too.”
”Yeah,” she says with a smile pulling up the corners of her mouth. “In the kitchen, when we were whispering, and you saw me, he told me he was interested in dating me, but that we needed to discuss some things. Things similar to Bast’s preferences, so I just said ok, and that we could meet one day this week to talk. I’m assuming I’ll go to his place for privacy. But things are ok, for now.”
“Mmm. Ok. I wonder what things he means. I know Bast likes his control, but I didn’t expect that from Dom. Oh, I also heard that… something happened today. With Cam?” Sunshine’s cheeks immediately bloom with a pink blush that is so damn adorable. I chuckle at her groan, but I immediately jump in to reassure her. “It’s ok. I’m just teasing you. Well, I did tease Cam, too. But I wanted to ask you if you were ok with what happened. I know it was an accident, but he seemed to think you were ok, but I wanted to check in with you, myself.”
“Yeah,” she says hesitantly. “I like him. I feel drawn to him, but I also know that he is struggling with his own issues. It’s like I want to give him a chance, but I’m still working out how to forgive him. His convincing you all to leave me alone, hurt me. He hurt my heart, and those scars are deep. I just have to figure out a way to move past them. He and I have been talking, and I’m just hoping he opens up a little more. I’d love to take things further, but I’m also not the one who needs to make the effort here. I am letting him open up first.”
“I get that, Sunshine. Bast and I both support that. You take your time with either of the two assholes who weren’t ready to jump all in with you. We’ll hold their hands as they wade in,” I joke. “Speaking of holding hands… Do you have to go home tonight?”
She quirks a brow before responding. “No, not tonight. Why?”
I quickly bend, scooping her ass in my hands; and when she squeals and wraps her legs around me as I lift her, I reply, “Because I have something I want to hold in my hands. This glorious ass of yours feels good in my grip.” I start to walk my way down the hallway to my room, and Sunshine can’t help but squirm in my arms. I gently smack her ass to get her to hold still, and she only responds with a gasp and a giggle before she leans in to kiss down my jawline, working her way to nibble on my ear. Kicking the door closed behind me, I grumble in frustration as I walk through the doorway. I walk to my bed, tossing her down, and stare at the beautiful woman I have all to myself tonight.
“Sunshine, can I reward you? For trying new things today? I want to make sure you know I fully support you with all four of us.”
She just grins and nods, curling that finger like she did our first time. Has it only been two months? I can’t get enough of this girl.
“I want to record us again. If that’s ok? Or how about I video call Bast? He likes to watch. Remember how I told you he watched us that morning when you woke me up? Drove him absolutely bonkers. He told me later that day before we came up to see you.”
Her eyes widen with a sparkle of mischief, and she quickly agrees with a giggle. “Yes, let’s video call him.”
An evil grin spreads over my face, and I know just what I want to do. “Get undressed, and then lay back. I’m going to enjoy you a bit, and then when I have you ready, I’ll get him on and show him just what I’m working with.” Cait stares at me with blown pupils and her mouth hangs open. I set my phone on the nightstand before turning to see her doing as I asked. I reach behind my head and grab my collar, pulling my shirt up and over my head. Once I’m down to just the sweats I pulled on over my boxers after our nap, I lick my lips and let my eyes roam over her gloriously naked body. I climb onto the bed but move to the end to worship her long and luxurious legs.
Placing soft kisses and tempting licks across her legs, I work my way up till I’ve reached my goal. I gently stroke a finger through her folds, finding her already slick with want. “Cam said that you imagined all of us today when he happened to walk in on you. Is that what you want, Sunshine?”
