I nod when he reaches me. He's about to finish unzipping my dress when his phone rings again. I pause kissing his neck.

"Maybe you should answer it?"

He groans. "I'm going to kill whoever this is," he says when it rings a third time. He pulls me to him, and he walks backwards to where he lay his suit coat over the chair.

He pulls out his phone as it rings a fourth time.

"What the fuck?" he says when he sees who it is.

Now I frown. I pray it's not one of the bimbos.

"Mark," he tells me, and my heart starts beating again.

Oh no. My heart. That means it's not just like. I start to panic.

"What the fuck do you want?" he answers.

I giggle, panic subsiding.

His brows pull into a frown. "What the fuck are you doing there?"

I watch fascinated at all the expressions that pass over his features.

"You're a fucking idiot." He pauses. "Alex? He's a super fucking idiot for following you."

He looks down at me scowling.

"Fine. Fucking hold on."

He looks at me again, his features softening. "I'm so pissed right now, but I need to hear him out. I promise it won't take more than a few minutes." He points at me. "No freshening anything. Mine."

I nod and smile. He's so hot right now. All alpha and demanding. I can't wait until he gets like that while we're naked.

He presses a hard kiss to my lips and groans as he walks away mumbling about fucking idiot friends.

I giggle and sit on the edge of the bed, pressing a hand to my nervous stomach. I've been here, right here, once before—where no other woman has been—in Derrick Pierce's bedroom.

How did I not realize I more-than-like him? Why am I just now figuring it all out?

I think—well, I'm pretty sure that he more-than-likes me, too.

CHAPTER FIFTEEN

Derrick

I can't believe this bullshit. These two. I'm going to punch one of them. No. I'm going to punch them both.

I go to the living room closet and open the door. There they are. Like two dumbasses.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" I whisper-shout.

Mark's all smiles and Alex is trying hard not to.

"We didn't expect you back so soon," Mark tells me.

"So fucking what? What are you doing here?" I ask again.

"We were watching the game on the big screen then we heard the garage, and this is as far as we made it," Alex adds.
