“You're going to call right?”
“Of course I'm going to call Raven. I'm not leaving you I'm just leaving this city.”
Raven pulls her into a bone-crushing hug, something that Zoe wouldn't have been able to stand two weeks ago, even from us. She's recovering rather quickly, and I think a huge part of it is that the guys are around but they're not pushing her. They've kept their distance and kept their hands to themselves, they are giving her the space that she needs. Other than the few times that they offered her and hand.
“I will even come back and have dinner with you, or maybe us and the guys can go out for some drinks. I know that you planned on staying in San Antonio after you graduated, and Uvalde is not that far away.”
“You'll come too?” She pleads with her eyes over Zoe’s shoulder.
“I'll come every time that she does if you want me to.”
“I want you to.”

There are only a few weeks left of school and because I don’t plan on keeping any of the clothes that I bought while in the sorority, I have been giving a lot of my stuff to some of the sisters, and most of my other stuff has been packed up to go back to the clubhouse with Zoe. They are all still acting a little weird with me, I know some of them blame me, but they haven’t asked me to leave yet. I get the feeling that it is coming, Zoe leaving might be the thing that pushes them over the edge.
I kept just enough clothes to get me to class for the next few weeks, they will fit into a good backpack, and I will be able to ride home with one of the guys.
“It should be you in that car.” Bayleigh’s voice is like venom clawing at the back of my neck.
“In a few short weeks, it will be. Don't worry.”
Pyro is at my side, and I know that it makes some of the sisters even more uncomfortable. Most of the time I go over to the guy’s apartment, I know that the sisters could throw a fit and I am not trying to make anybody uncomfortable in their own home. Pyro and Tough came over this morning to help Zoe load up all her stuff in her car, and Tough is following her back to the clubhouse along with Top and Hollow. Top and Hollow had something to take care of and couldn't help load up, not that Zoe had a lot of stuff but she did have a lot of clothes and she's still not supposed to be lifting that much for her recovery.
“You should go now.”
“I am leaving as soon as I know the guys that did this to Zoe are behind bars.”
“Didn't you hear? Those court dates have been set, and they're not until after school is over.”
I hadn't heard that yet, I've been checking with the officers every day, trying to get an idea of when sentencing was going to be, but I hadn't checked yet today. Honestly, knowing that their court dates are so far away does kind of change things for me, but I told Raven that I would be staying. I didn't tell her that I'd be staying in the house though.
“I have somewhere else I can stay,” I know immediately that she's going to take the offer and that's okay. I never expected to stay in contact with any of these women after I left the school anyways it's just happening sooner than I thought it would.
“Yeah, you do that.” She still sounds like she's trying to be threatening, she should know better considering who I'm standing next to, but she tries anyways.
“You would think that you would use your brain rather than being catty and bitchy to me. I didn't have anything to do with Zoe getting taken, but I had everything to do with Zoe being saved. If I hadn't put that tracker on her phone no one would have found her until she was in the hospital, and she pointed out that she was only making Noah madder and madder, there's no telling what he would have done. I found her. My men saved her. I get that you don't want me here, but we were friends before you knew I was related to the club. I am still the same person you are just being judgie, you are looking at one side of this. You also aren't using your fucking brain by trying to threaten me.” I walk away from her and go back into the house, it doesn't take long to pack the remainder of my things inside of my one bag left, I set it on the opposite side of my bed so that Raven can't see it and go to find her.
She's standing in the kitchen with Bayleigh.
“So, you are leaving?”
“She should leave. We are unsafe with her just being here.” You know, I never had a problem with Bayleigh, and I never would have thought she'd act like this, but I'm starting to believe that this is her natural persona, this is who she really is.
“I'm just going to go stay at the apartment with the guys, 2 minutes up the road. I'm going to finish up my classes for the year and then I'm going to go home. I hate to say it but there's nothing here for me anymore, you and I can continue our friendship no matter where we are, I don't have to be in this house for that.”
“But I don't want you to leave.”
“Raven I'm going to be right up the road, let's plan to have lunch together every day, you can come to the apartment for dinner we can study there. I promised you I would help you pass your finals and I'm going to; we can meet in the library or at the apartment, we're gonna get through this.”

Living with the guys in such a small apartment is a little bit harder than I thought it would be. For instance, there's only one bathroom. Gross right? And it's only been a few days.
I am sitting on the floor in the living room with my books scattered around me when Bell and Scar both come in with smiles on their faces.
