“What has you two so happy?” I unfold my legs from under me and step over all the work that’s between me and them.
“Do you know the name, Brandon Wilks?” Scar asks leaning against the door frame.
“Brandon Wilks? Sounds familiar but I don’t know, why?” I have met so many people since I moved here and joined the sorority, I remember most of the faces but almost none of the names.
“Brandon Wilks was picked up last night under suspicion of having a part in Zoe’s rape. It was confirmed this morning with a DNA comparison.” Bell grins like a maniac, I have called Sal several times to see where that other drawing got them, and I hadn’t heard anything. I didn’t even know they thought they had a match let alone trying to pick him up!
“Fucking great! Now there is only one left out there.”
“I spoke to Sal, who spoke to the captain, and they got Brandon’s court date on the docket for around the same time as Travis and Noah. It’s almost over.” I pull my phone out and go to call Zoe.
“I haven’t told anyone yet so enjoy your phone call, join us for dinner when you get done. Tell Zoe that we say hi.” Bell plays with my hair while Scar talks and then they both kiss me on the cheek and leave the room.
The phone rings three times and Zoe answers out of breath, “What’s up?”
“Please tell me that you are out of breath because you were running,” I think that I am being funny but then my brain catches up and I realize what I just suggested.
“I’m not ready to get back on that horse, but I was boxing. The guys are teaching me a few things until you get home.”
“Right. Anyways, Brandon Wilks…”
“OH MY GOD. I KNEW I RECOGNIZED HIM!”
I am a little shaken by her sudden outburst, I wasn’t ready for her to know the name and realize why I was calling.
“He was arrested today.”
“There is only one left. What are the chances that we figure out who he is?” Her breath is returning to normal, but I can tell that she is getting worked up about this.
“I have no idea, but I hope so. Until then, his court date is set around the same time as the other two. Do you want to be here for them?”
“Finley, I don’t have a choice. They have called me in to testify against Noah and Travis, I bet they are going to call me about Brandon too. It’s only a matter of time.” I hoped that the DNA and proof would be enough without her having to recount anything that happened to her.
“Damn, okay. I’m going to get us a few hotels and plan some other things for us to do while we are here for those. But there is no chance that I am missing their sentencing.”

Raven just finished her last final, she tried to convince me to stick around until the professor posts the grades, but I told her no. Some of them won't even grade the tests for a week and I'm not waiting around that long. The apartment is basically empty—they packed everything up into a truck yesterday—Scar and I slept on an air mattress. Bell and Pyro accompanied the rest of our stuff home yesterday since there was no reason for all three of us to sleep on an air mattress last night.
Scar and I are sitting at the table in Raven and I's favorite little cafe waiting on her to show up. We planned to meet here one last time before Scar and I take the motorcycle and head home.
“Travis is dead.” Raven is wearing a mask of horror. She's shaking slightly and her face looks a little flushed, but she sits down anyways and takes a drink of the water in front of her.
“What?” My head snaps to Scar so fast that it hurts my neck, he immediately shakes his head no. The club had nothing to do with Travis dying.
“They found him in a ditch 2 hours ago! His family's already been notified, and they released it right as I was getting out of my exam! The campus is going freaking nuts.”
“Yeah, wasn't he in jail?”
“Exactly he was supposed to be. The police didn't notify anybody, but he got out two days ago. Somebody paid a lot of money for him to be released.”
Scar pulls out his phone and immediately starts typing, I'm not sure who he's contacting but I'm certain he's looking for answers. Don't get me wrong I wanted Travis dead, but Zoe wanted him prosecuted by the police, and I wanted to do it myself if they failed. The only person I can come up with that would have done this is the ASG. When the warehouse got burned and they couldn't find the dealer that Travis had been working with, they must have thought that he had something to do with it. Or maybe they got him out and killed him because of his connection with them, there was no way they wanted that coming out in court.
“Are you sure the club didn't do this?”
“Positive.” Scar growls, he doesn't like being questioned, but I know that his attitude is because Travis is dead, and it wasn't done by the club. He isn’t as willing to be nice to Raven as the other two, granted he is usually like this with everyone.
“Well, I guess that's good to know but what does that mean for the people that did kill him?”
