“What?” she asked.
“We need to go,” I hissed. “Now.”
“What’s wrong?” Her face was full of concern.
“If we don’t get out of here in the next few seconds, I’m going to end up knocking this guy out. If I knock the guy out, shit is going to hit the fan.”
Her eyes widened. “Oh.”
I heard someone shout behind me. I grabbed her hand and pulled her through the crowd. It was a mad dash through the packed club. I never let go of her hand. We burst outside and only then did I stop to look behind us. “I don’t think he followed us.”
She looked up at me. “What the hell?”
