“You guys, great news.” We all listen intently to Hana. “The doors of the restaurant can only be opened by a certain type of code. I unlocked the door for you all, but it can be opened again by a master key. You’ll have a small window of opportunity to get those sons of bitches.”

She is a menace and a genius in her own right.

“Great job! We are go. Over.”

“We are as well. Over.” Josh’s voice comes through.

Sara, Noa, and I move silently towards the truck and have the men in our sight.

“Attack,” Noa orders us.

Adam fires the first bullet, and it hits a guard’s skull. Before the other ones can react, the other two are sniped as well.

That’s our cue.

Noa’s cleaver hits one of the guards deep in his chest, while Sara shoots two bullets in another one’s chest. I shoot the last one in his neck, and he doubles over quickly. We run toward the door, and Noa takes point, leading us inside.

“Unlock the door and disable all electronics.” He tells Hana. The doors unlock, and we step into the restaurant.

Noa motions for me to go to the right and to Sara that she needs to go left. We nod at him while he moves towards the dining room.

My steps are tentative, and I want to enter the kitchen, but a gun flashes by my face. I lower my rifle and grab the gun with both hands. He yanks me toward him, and we both tumble onto the ground of the kitchen.

There’s no time to waste as his gun is aimed at my face.

“I won’t ever let a bitch overpower me.”

Misogynist prick.

His finger is over the trigger, but I’m faster. I grab the knife that’s strapped to my thigh and throw it at his knee. It lodges into his flesh, and in an act of desperation, he shoots at me. I duck and slide across the tiles, missing the bullet. I come up to him, take the knife out of his knee, and plunge it into his stomach.

He loses his footing and tumbles down onto the floor. I get up and grab my rifle, shooting him in the face. Blood and brain matter are oozing out of his skull in a matter of seconds.

“This bitch just killed you.” I spit on his face and yank the knife out of his stomach. I place it back again in the small pocket of my pants.

Click. Click. Click.

The sound of guns firing at will can be heard throughout the entire restaurant.

I run towards the room where Sara went, and I see she handled herself just fine. She is sitting on top of a dead man, and she’s slicing his dick. Once she’s done, she gets up and turns around to face me.

“You good?” she asks me, and I nod at her.

“STOP!”

We run towards the noise in the dining room. Noa is throwing punches onto a guy’s face with one hand, while he throws his cleaver at another guard. The guard screams out in pain, and he is ready to shoot Noa.

I don’t fucking think so.

My protective instinct takes over, and I sprint towards the guard. He sees me coming, and I point my gun at his chest and hit him square in the chest. Noa stops punching the guy’s face and yells at me.

“Two guards on the stairs!”

I look at two big men marching down the stairs, holding guns. And bombs in their hands.

“Adam!” Sara screams into her earpiece. The love of her life hears her and takes action. He snipes one guard, which gives Sara leverage to attack. She shoots the guard in his neck, not to kill him, but to keep him alive. Probably so he stays alive while she cuts off his dick.

As she is moving towards the guard with a knife in her hand, I help Noa upward. He stands up, and the first thing I notice is appreciation. With his soft gaze, he’s thanking me for saving his life.
