He lifts me from my seat and sets me on his lap, wrapping his arms around my waist. “Then how am I supposed to eat my cum out of you later?”
The heat radiates off my chest, and I close my eyes. “I’m going to kill you, cowboy. Stop it,” I hiss.
He presses me harder against his crotch and his dick presses against me. “You want that?”
I nod discreetly. But then I notice Violet takes herself off to the back fenceline of the yard, looking out over the mountains.
“Give me a minute,” I tell Colt, and hop off his lap; he can deal with hiding his erection.
Jett stands and is about to run after Violet, but I press my hand on his arm. Now might be a good opportunity to see if I actually like kids.
“Are you okay if I speak to her? You both could probably do with a break,” I tell him; the dark circles under his eyes tell me that man needs to sleep.
And probably explains why he’s twenty percent quieter today than any other day I’ve seen him.
I pad across the grass; with each step, the baby's screams get louder.
“Violet,” I say softly.
She turns to face me and sniffles, tears streaking down her cheeks. Is this what being a new mom does to you? That’s a tick in the no category.
I hold out my arms. “Would you like me to take him for a little bit? You go and eat your food, relax.”
“Do I look that awful?” She half-laughs.
“No. You look great, Violet. You’re doing an amazing job.”
I have no clue if I’m doing the right thing here. But Lola and Harper are awesome, and they love Violet, so my math means she must be cool too.
“Have you ever held a baby before?” she asks.
I laugh. “Nope. Never. This would be my first.”
“I-I don’t know why he’s crying; nothing I do seems to stop it,” she says quietly.
She places the tiny baby in my arms, and every muscle I have tenses. “He’s precious,” I tell her. “Now, go eat something.”
I nod over to the table, and Violet looks down at her boots. “Thank you, G. I know you hardly even know me, but thank you.”
I sway gently and add in a few bounces. “What’s his name?”
“Noah.”
“Cute.” The word drops from my mouth.
I grit my teeth. I used the word cute and meant it. What is this damn family doing to me?
I watch as she heads back to the table, sitting beside Jett. He squeezes her shoulder, and I smile. I’m not sure if they’re an item. Is he the father of this kid?
“Hey, Noah,” I coo.
The kid has so much black hair; there is no doubt he’s a mirror of his mom.
After another minute of screaming, he seems to settle, his eyes growing heavy. I keep doing exactly what I’m doing in the same rhythm. Rock, rock, sway until my shoulders ache. But he’s sound asleep. And now I’m too frightened to move.
Colten heads over, and relief washes over me. I have no clue what to do other than stand here. “He’s asleep, so whisper.”
Colt bites his lip. “Are you trying to give me a breeding kink, G?”
