“I see that. But they were clean shootings. Those guns are legal. Your security clearance is legal. They’re all clean shots. Let this lil nigga on the floor live. Let him get arrested,” I instructed.

Let him tell the feds who paid him. Let them chase Kyle while I find him first.

“Aight.”

“You did good though. You stopped that money from leaving. We’ll take care of your boy.”

He nodded, but he didn’t look convinced. I kept my hand there another second before letting go.

There would be time to find out every fucking thing that happened. Right now, he needed to know I wasn’t about to put those bodies on him.

Quest’s phone started going off. He answered, pressing a finger into his other ear so he could hear over the alarms.

“Where they at?”

He looked at me.

“Yeah. I’m coming.”

He ended the call, but another one came through before he could put the phone away.

“Fire department’s out front. Cops, too. They saying the feds are pulling up.”

“Already?”

“Somebody blew up a casino full of people, Justice. Who you thought was coming?”

I looked toward the wounded robber.

FBI and ATF would be all over this shit. We had a room full of bodies, and my security had fired every shot they needed to defend it.

“Licensed security defended the vault. That’s what happened. I’m going out there before somebody starts talking just to hear themselves,” Quest said.

“Get medics back here,” I told him.

He nodded and headed for the door, answering his phone again.

Prime waited until he was gone before looking at me.

“What the fuck is this about?”

“Kira and Kyle.”

He stared at me.

“After you offered her all that money?”

“Apparently, five restaurants wasn’t enough.”

“You sure?”

“I saw Kyle outside. Nigga was smiling while everybody was running.”

Prime looked down at the robber.

“And this motherfucker just gave us Will.”

“Exactly.”
