Bruce: Not now, Adam. This is important. Can you guys please tell your wives that it’s a bad idea and they can’t go?

Declan: I like being able to speak the same language in my house with my children.

Daniel: Yeah, and I like waking up to the smell of coffee, not my eight-month-old twins learning to play drums.

Luke: Hey Bruce, have you ever tried sleeping with two drunk octopuses?

Bruce: Not following you guys.

Adam: Brucey, they are telling you what would happen if they tried growing some balls.

Declan: Fuck you, Adam. Try walking into your house where they are all speaking French to each other, laughing and not speaking to you.

Daniel: Fuck you twice, Adam. I should make my twins play drums for you when you want to sleep.

Luke: Dele picks up extra shifts and makes the boys sleep in our bed. Trust me, even drunk octopuses are better than my boys when they sleep.

Declan: Bruce, I thought you learned how to say no. Guess you failed that lesson.

Bruce: Fuck all you pussies You guys know that Lexi moves around with bodyguards.

Declan: Perfect. Just means our wives are getting all the security they need without a payment from us.

Bruce: Fuck you guys. I don’t like this, and guess what, I’ll be sending you all the fucking bill since you’ve all lost your balls.

Luke: Fine. Still better than getting either of my sons’ feet on my head or nose.

Daniel: Or waking up to headbanging noise.

Adam: This should be fun. I can’t wait to see you all next week.

Bruce: Fuck you all. Now I need to inform my guys they are all working overtime.

Declan: Thanks, Bruce!!!

Daniel: Thanks, Bruce.

Luke: Thanks, Bruce.

Bruce: FUCK YOU

Adam: Watching you all is my best reality show.

Declan: Bye, Adam.

Chapter fifty-two

Lexi/ Jola

“He said yes!” I holler at Ice as I race over and hug him from behind. His bulky frame doesn’t budge, but he turns and frowns at me. “He said yes,” I sing song, dancing around him.

“Are you sure, or did you imagine the yes?” His brows lift, like he thinks I made it up.

“You can’t ruin this for me. He said yes. I’m going to my room to call MAK. She’s the best, and this is going to be a badass girls’ night out.” I squeal, excited

He gives a nod, though the frown stays. I ignore it and keep smiling. “I’m going to call MAK and get all the details. You can invite your girl, Ice.” I say

“No, thank you,” he says.
