“On it, Prez,” they both say as they file out.
“Feel better?” Scar asks as we head out as well.
“I’ll feel better when all of this is behind us.”
Widower shows up to the clubhouse two hours later on the dot.
“Where is it?” he asks, cutting right to the chase as he gets out of his truck.
See? Not even a fucking hello.
“Shed.” I nod my head toward the back.
He grunts before taking off with his supply bag, already knowing the way.
“Prez, I don’t mean any disrespect, but is he okay?” Barbie asks me in a hushed voice as he watches Widower walk away from us.
“Are any of us really okay, prospect?” I ask him before following Widower, not waiting for a response.
By the time I make it out back to the shed, Widower is standing in the doorway with his hands on his hips and his supply bag by his feet, taking everything in.
“I forgot how bloody you fuckers are with everything,” he says.
I shrug. “He had it coming.”
“I supposed he did,” Widower mumbles before getting to work.
He pulls out a body bag and slides Russ into it, moving him out of the shed so he can clean up the rest of the scene.
“Did you guys touch anything else in here?” he asks after he has the blood on the floor cleaned up.
“Just do the whole thing to be safe. I had the prospects watching him and I don’t know what they touched.”
Widower nods as he continues to douse the inside of the shed with hydrogen peroxide.
The place fucking reeks but it’s clean.
Once he’s done he steps out of the shed, zips up his supply bag and throws it over his shoulder before heaving Russ up with one arm and throwing his body over the other.
“Need help?” I ask as I nod toward the body bag.
Widower looks at me, insulted I asked.
I put my hands up in the air, amused. “Sorry, brother.”
I follow Widower back out to his truck and watch him throw Russ’s body into the bed, it landing with a hard thump.
“I’ll take him to the docks. He’ll be sleeping with the fishes tonight.”
I nod, relieved this is over with.
“Thanks, brother. I owe you.” I would shake his hand, but Widower doesn’t like to be touched.
“What comes around goes around,” Widower says as he climbs into his truck and slams the door shut.
That it does.
I wait until his tail lights are out of sight before I head over to my bike, ready to get home to Blake.
