Hash lazily thrusts a few more times as we both come down. The evidence of us seeps out, coating my inner thighs. He takes a step back and adjusts himself as I fly up into a standing position in a hurry, the bottom part of my dress falling back into place.

“Whoa, what the fuck?” Hash asks, no longer pissed off as he takes in my expression. “What’s the matter with you?”

“What’s the matter with me?” I ask as I cock my head as I widen my eyes. “We didn’t use a condom.”

“So?” Hash shrugs before he unbuttons the rest of his shirt and slides out of it. “Here, let me clean you up.”

I grab his wrist when he goes for the area that could go another round with him, halting him.

“What the fuck is your problem?” he asks, irritation coming back.

“My problem is I’m not on birth control, and I don’t want another baby right now.” I can’t be the only one who sees the problem with this situation, right?

“If it happens, we’ll deal.”

We’ll deal?

Now it’s my turn to be pissed.

“Have you lost your fucking mind? The last time I was pregnant, we didn’t deal. I did. You think I’m going to just assume this time around will be different and you’ll be this all-star dad?”

That was a low blow, and I know it. But damn him for acting like this isn’t a big deal.

“Watch it, Aisling,” Hash warns. “I let you get your shots in, but now we’re moving on and working through this shit. I finally got inside my pussy that I haven’t been in for almost two years. You don’t want to piss me off right now. You’re lucky you’ve got a magical cunt, and I came hard after the shit you pulled tonight with that fucking douchebag.”

“I don’t know what there is to work through,” I sass. We both know it’s a lie. The feelings and attraction never went away. “And I didn’t pull any shit tonight.”

“Get the fuck in the car.”

I glare at him before I walk over to the passenger side and slide in. I’m not in the mood to stand out here in the middle of a dark alley arguing with him when I know it’s not going to go anywhere.

“Can I have your shirt to sit on?” I ask once Hash is inside the car. I can feel myself leaking all over the seat, and as much joy as it would bring me to ruin something of his, I don’t want to sit in it for the ride home.

“No.”

“No?”

“That’s what I said.” Hash reverses out of the alley and pulls onto the street, heading toward my house.

“But I’m leaking all over your seat.”

“You should have thought about that when I offered to clean you up, but you started bitchin’ at me instead.”

“Bitching at you?” I ask, my voice rising. “I was freaked out over something very serious, Hash! That’s not bitching. I hope your swimmers ruin your seat.”

“Seats are leather, babe. It’ll wipe right off.”

Crossing my arms, I lean back in the seat and glare out the passenger window.

How did my life become such a fucking mess?

It isn’t long before Hash pulls into my tiny driveway and parks behind my car.

“What are you doing?” I ask as Hash kills the engine.

“I’m staying the night.”

“Uhh, no, you’re not.”
