Ben looked at her.
"You don't talk about them much."
She was quiet for a long moment.
"I try not to."
The bridge fell silent.
Neither Ben nor Ward interrupted.
Storm finally spoke.
"My dad believed every passenger became his responsibility the moment they stepped aboard."
She looked toward Frank and Rose.
"I've never forgotten that."
Ben nodded.
"I know."
She looked at him.
"How?"
He smiled.
"You stopped an entire yacht for one wooden compass."
Storm laughed softly.
"I guess I did."
"You would've done it for anyone."
"I would've."
Ben nodded once.
"I know."
The radio crackled.
"Captain?"
"Calle."
"Go ahead."
"I've got something."
Storm immediately straightened.
"What is it?"
"Probably nothing."
