I wanted to tell her I was thinking about everything. Our relationship and how perfect it was. What we could have been. I had pictured a future of us together. I was thinking about how I let my walls down and could just be me.
Elize was the woman for me, and I didn’t want anyone else. But I couldn’t say all of that. I knew it would be too soon.
“I’m thinking about last time we were like this.” I nudged my cock an inch inside her. “And just tight you felt.”
I slid into her and moved slowly. Elize felt like a perfect fit. Her hands grabbed at my arms, her nails scraping down. I rocked my hips into her, feeling her tightening around me.
I moved my hand down, rolling my finger over her clit. Her head rocked back, and I felt she was getting close.
“Oh god, yes,” she panted, her nails breaking the skin on me.
I thrusted deeper into her, losing all the control I had. I kissed her, her mouth falling open. It was sloppy, and we were panting as we came together.
I kept thrusting, driving her orgasm higher. She cried out, her entire body shaking. I fumbled to the side, trying to getmy breath. I could hear Elize panting next to me, and then she started to giggle.
I looked at her as she laughed. She covered her mouth and turned her head to me. “I’m sorry.”
I turned onto my side. “What’s so funny?”
She continued to giggle. “I just… I thought this was going to be so awkward afterward, but I kept picturing you in a lacy pair of underwear now.”
I started to laugh, and I could hear her laugh harder, too.
“Really? That’s what you’re thinking about?”
She nodded, wiping at tears in her eyes. “It’s crazy, but I did. I suddenly pictured you standing in some lacy red underwear, and I can’t stop laughing.”
I soaked in the sight of her as she continued to giggle. I felt my heart skip a beat as I watched her. This was what I wanted more than anything in the world.
Over the next couple of days, we tracked any changes that came. Elize didn’t have any visions, and there were no new powers that seemed to manifest. We decided to visit the cauldron, wondering if it had maybe changed.
As we walked down the halls, I could see she was unhappy. Each day that nothing new happened, she seemed to get a little sadder.
“It’s not going to happen overnight,” I whispered.
She glanced at me and nodded. “I know.”
“It takes time. And no news isn’t bad news, Elize.”
“I know… I just was hoping.” She frowned as we went down the stairs. “I was just hoping something would change. Even a little bit. I guess I was wrong that sex would help.”
I paused and pulled her to a stop. “Elize, you have done so much for this pack already. Don’t get discouraged now. Don’t let this blind you from all that you’ve done.”
She gave me a soft smile. “Thanks.”
We continued down and entered the room where the cauldron was. It remained bubbling, still chained to the ground. Elize walked over and stared into it.
I stood nervously. The air down here was tense and smelled of rotting bodies. All the hair on my body stood up, and I wanted out as quickly as possible.
“Anything?”
Elize walked around it once more, her eyes narrowing on it. I watched her shoulders drop, and she shook her head. “No, nothing. I don’t feel or see anything.”
“I don’t want to rush you, but if you feel you’re done, I would like to leave this place.”
She raised an eyebrow at me. “You really don’t like it down here.”
I shook my head. “It makes my skin crawl. Dark magic has that effect on people. Don’t you like that?”
