Why?She responds immediately.You don’t like my suit?

I glance back up at my team, who are watching me expectantly. “I think that about covers things,” I manage in a hoarse voice. I don’t wait for their response—I’m already marching across the room on my way to the exit.

As soon as I’m in the hallway, I have my phone pressed to my ear.

“Hello?” she asks, her overly innocent voice full of laughter.

“I’m on my way up,” I growl.

“Why don’t you just meet me at the pool?”

“You are not going to the pool by yourself,” I bark. “And definitely not in that suit.”

She laughs. “The caveman thing is kind of hot,” she murmurs. “But don’t forget who you’re talking to, mister. Nobody tells me what to wear.”

I groan, punching the up button at the elevator bay over and over again. “I’m not telling you what to wear,” I say. Which is bullshit and we both know it. “I’m just reminding you that you’re not supposed to be going anywhere without security.”

“Well I’m pretty sure Eddie is around,” she muses. “I’ll just ask him to walk me down and—”

“Layla,” I bark, and she’s laughing at me again. Finally, the fucking elevator arrives and I step inside. “I will be at your door in thirty seconds,” I continue. “You’re waiting for me.”

“So bossy,” she purrs.

I lean against the wall of the elevator, trying to catch my breath. Damn, that bikini has made me insane. My fingers are literally itching to feel the miles of skin the red fabric leaves exposed. “You like it,” I rasp out.

“I do,” she agrees, sounding breathless. “Hurry the hell up, will you?”

I groan again. “This is the slowest fucking elevator in the entire world.”

She laughs. “See you soon.”

I make it to her room in record time. It probably helps that I sprint down the hall from the elevator. I’m tempted to use my key card, but that feels like an invasion. She has to let me in herself—in every way. Luckily, she responds to my harsh rap on the door almost immediately.

She’s still wearing the suit and God, the picture hadn’t done it justice.

“Finally,” she says, a flirty smile on her face. “Are you going to change or are you planning to wear a tie to the—”

I cut her off with my kiss, my arms going around her, lifting her from the ground. We’re halfway to the bed before I tear my mouth away from her, my fingers already going to the tie behind her back. “Fuck the pool,” I growl. “The pool can wait.”

Her breathy laugh is the last thing I hear before my mouth claims hers again. This time, we don’t come up for air for a long, long time.
