“Magic, huh?” he whispers. “Is that what this feeling is?”

“I don’t know what this feeling is,” I admit. I don’t think I’ve ever felt anything quite like it before. Definitely not so fast.

“Neither do I.” There’s a trace of bewilderment in his expression, like he can’t quite understand what he’s feeling or why. The same bewilderment that’s coursing through me.

“Come back to my place,” he says, and then his eyes widen, as if he hadn’t expected himself to say that. He shakes his head a little, surprised, but he doesn’t take it back. “Come home with me.”

“Okay,” I say immediately. The surprise on his face quickly morphs into happiness.

“Yeah?”

I shouldn’t be doing this. I know that. Leo is practically a stranger. I know nothing important about him—my sum knowledge of this guy is that he doesn’t have many friends and he has some weird ideas about how to eat food. I don’t know what school he goes to, what he’s studying, where his place is—I don’t even know his last name.

But I do know I’m going to go home with him. And I know it’s going to be amazing. Even if it is more than a little crazy.

Reckless.

“Yes,” I answer firmly. “I want to go home with you.”
