“I love you too,” I confessed.

“I know, baby,” he said, pulling back to look up at me. His hands stroked my back as I leaned down to peck his lips.

“You sure you want to deal with me?” I questioned with lifted brows.

“You’re my wife, Sage. I didn’t marry you because you were pregnant. You marriedmebecause you were pregnant. I married you because I was in love with you.”

I took a shuddered breath as his words settled in. “I’ve always pushed you away because I wanted better for you.”

“And I never went anywhere because I knew you were it,” he countered.

I sighed as I raised my hips to get off him. I ignored the void of having him inside me as I rolled over onto my back.

“What now?” I asked, staring up at the ceiling.

“Now we live in perfect harmony. We can make it work. We already know each other so well. I’ve always known it was you. I’ve just been waiting for you to come to terms with reality.”

“Is that so?” I asked, grinning at his logic.

“It is. I’m talking to Sebastian about us when I see him again,” he said quietly.

I tensed but tried to hide my reaction. I knew better than to think I could hide something from him. His eyes were on me in a flash.

“I got it, Princess. You trust me, don’t you?”

“Why do you need to tell him anything? I don’t want anybody interfering in what we have.”

“I’m not letting you treat me like a dirty little secret anymore.”

“That’s not what I’m doing, K. Is that how you’ve felt?”

“It used to be until recently when you started saying crazy shit like you don’t deserve me. Yes, I’m fine as hell. Yes, I’m rich. Yes, I’m God’s gift to a whole lot of women. In this lifetime, I’m God’s gift to you.”

His foolishness made me laugh as usual. “Shut up.”

“I’m going to have to talk to Bash. He’s around too much for him not to find out, and I’m not keeping you a secret. I rather go to him right about his baby girl than for him to discover that I have her.”

“Wait a minute, did you tell me to shut the fuck up a few minutes ago?”

“It don’t matter. You didn’t do it.”

“You know what,” I said, shaking my head.

Rolling over on top of me, he balanced on his hands and looked down at me. “You know how I feel about you. I’m never going to disrespect you. I never have, and I’m not about to start,” he explained.

“What about Supreme, Klever? You know part of the reason you’ve never pushed the issue is because you don’t want to fall out with him.”

His chest inflated as he took a deep breath. “Let me deal with Supreme. Telling Sebastian will buy us some time to figure out how to break the news to him. Either way, don’t worry. I got it.”

I nodded reluctantly. As much as I hated to think about the aftermath, I knew one thing KD was good at was conflict resolution. He learned from the best. My dad could solve any issue that arose. At the same time, my brother was stubborn as hell. I didn’t even want to imagine them falling out because of me.

“We will deal with it together,” I finally said.

“OK.” He agreed, kissing me softly before climbing out of bed. “Did you find what you were looking for?”

“Yeah, I think so.”

“Well, come on. Let’s get out of here. I hate being in this damn house.”
