“So hot.”
“I hate you both,” Jasper snaps. “You two have clearly lost your fucking minds.”
I sigh heavily. I know it’s going to take him some time to come to terms with all this. I get it, it’s a lot to wrap one’s head around, but like Nola said before, he’s ruining the vibe.
“Stop being a fucking party pooper,” Sylas chastises. “Wesley, you take Nola home. Jasper, help me bring this one to the morgue.”
“Fuck,” Jasper hisses. “Toren. He’s going to kill us.”
“No, he’s not,” I counter, bending down and carefully gathering Nola into my arms. “As amazing as our girl is, do you really think she would have been able to get away with all of those murders on her own? She had help. And who better to help than her own dad, a retired serial killer, son of the Russian mafia, and owner of all morgues, a place literally built to get rid of bodies.” I grin down at Nola’s peaceful face. There are specks of blood across her cheeks, almost like little freckles.
“I bet you thought all of this through, didn’t you. Had a plan and all from the start.” I lean down and brush my lips over her forehead, this odd need to protect her like she’s something precious, even though she just let us use her in unsavory ways. “We underestimated you, Little Rabbit. We won’t be doing that again.”
“No.” Sylas smiles down at her and presses a kiss to her cheek. “Our dirty little whore,” he sighs. “She’s fucking perfect.”
My eyes lift up to Jasper. He’s scowling at us like he wants to kill us. “Say goodbye to your little Lotus Flower, Jasper.” I step towards him. “Because you know we won’t be seeing her for a while. I’m not brushing this off like it’s nothing, I'm accepting our new reality. We will have a lot of things we have to deal with, I understand that. But that doesn’t mean I’m going to forget about my girl.”
His teeth grind as he clenches his jaw. He’s being fucking stubborn.
“Fine,” Sylas says. “If, after all of that, you still won’t claim her as yours, we’ll just keep her to ourselves. Just know, if you’re not all in, you don’t get any of her. You can watch us play, but you can’t touch.”
“Wait!” Jasper growls as I turn to leave. I look to Sylas with a smirk, then turn back to Jasper.
He steps forward, staring down at the sleeping girl in my arms like he’s never seen her before. “Who are you?” he whispers, brows furrowed. “And what have you done to us?”
He leans down, pressing a kiss to her lips. “You're in so much trouble, Lotus Flower,” he growls against her lips. “And I can’t fucking wait to punish you for it.”
Sylas and I grin smugly as he steps away. “Go,” he tells me. “Get her home safe, clean her up before you leave, and tell Toren we’re going to be having a conversation in the near future.”
“Yes, boss.” I wink, knowing it pisses him off because none of us holds power over the other. But if we had to pick a leader of our fucked up little family, it would be Jasper.
I just hope now that Nola will be in our lives permanently, he will allow his walls to come down just enough to be happy with her. He tries so hard to please his dad, but can’t see that his dad is proud of him, making all of this extra stress and pressure for nothing.
Maybe Nola is exactly what we need to balance us all out.
It’s going to be a big change for all of us, but I don’t care.
Our lifestyle of meaningless hookups, contracted sex, and girls we just use before tossing to the side is over.
Now we have our girl, the one we can all share, the one who proved tonight that she will let us do anything we want with her.
It’s not like it’s going to be a loss, seeing how we always pretended that every girl we were with was Nola. Now we have the real thing. And she’s a million times better than we could have ever dreamt of.
Placing Nola in the back seat of my car, I pull off my shirt and slide it over her, covering her exposed body. The last thing I want to do is bring her home naked. Her father would kill me.
Nola sleeps the entire drive to her place. Every few seconds, though, I'm checking on her through the rearview mirror, wondering if this is really happening.
“I’m going to have so much fun with you,” I chuckle.
When we get to Nola’s place, I pull into her driveway. I don’t bother knocking, just walk right into their home.
“You really should lock your doors,” I tell Toren as I walk past him in the living room.
“What the fuck?” he calls out. The sound of his footsteps lets me know he’s following me. “Is she okay?” he asks as soon as he sees her.
“She’s fine.” I shift her body away from him. “I’m going to clean her up and put her to bed.”
He glares at me, like he wants to put a bullet between my eyes. “If any of you hurt my baby girl, like really hurt her, I’ll kill you.”
