“They will be fine. You know how strong father is,” Lorenzo says, clapping me on the back.

I nod my head.

“When do we head out?” I ask.

“In about an hour,” he replies.

I have no idea what they have planned, but I’m sure it’ll be fun.

Serenity

I’m so excited and confused when Papa Lucifer and I travel through a couple portals for precautions. Lucifer said it was to make sure no one was following us. I just nodded my head and went along.

We ended up at a restaurant after we had dropped off our bags in the hotel we would be staying at. This specific hotel was one of the places he preferred to stay at whenever he was up top. Apparently, the owner is part demon. It is strange to think about this guy being the product of a demon mating with a human. I intend to ask my family more about things like that another time.

“Why are we here? We ate a couple hours ago,” I tell him.

“Let’s sit, and then I will explain,” he whispers.

“Table for two?” the hostess asks.

“Yes, for two,” Lucifer replies.

“Okay, we are seated, so tell me you just had a sudden hankering for steak and ribs?” I ask.

He smiles at me and shakes his head.

“No, though they are good here,” he teases.

“Okay great,” I mutter.

“Hi, welcome. Oh Lui! It’s been forever, and who is this?” a new voice asks.

“Lucille, I have been busy with family matters. This is my daughter, Seri,” Lucifer tells her with a genuine smile.

"Oh, a daughter. That’s precious!” Lucille says with a huge smile.

I get a look at her in her waitress uniform. She has blonde hair in ringlets, bright lavender eyes, and the biggest smile on her face. She looks very innocent and appears to be a morning person; one of those morning people you want to stab before you have had your coffee.

She takes our orders before leaving to enter them into their ordering system.

“Little young for you, pop,” I hiss at him.

He looks appalled at my assumption.

“I would not. You can’t say anything, or hint to her we are not human. She cannot know yet.”

It takes a second to realize what he’s saying.

“Are you saying that is one of the brides?” I ask in an excited tone.

“Shhh…” he hisses.

“She’s one of your sisters. We are going to check up on all of them, which is why we need to travel through several portals; but they can’t know who we are. I thought this might be special for you,” he whispers.

“I get to meet them all?” I can’t help but squeal out.

“Yes, you do,” he tells me.
