“No.” He’d wanted to spend every available moment with her.

She playfully slapped his belly. “Well, that should change. It would be a shame to lose all this. Not many men look better naked than in a pilot uniform.”

His chest warmed at her compliment. “And you look better naked than in any outfit.”

Her lips twisted slightly as she glanced down at her chest. “Thank you.”

“What? You don’t think you look good?”

A one-shouldered shrug. “I look OK.”

“Nothing about you is just OK.”

She shrugged again.

That didn’t sit right with him. “You’re beautiful, Jannie.”

“I’m glad you think so.” She didn’t sound convinced.

In his experience, women in her league were confident about their appearance. Some, overly so. Yet she seemed to be the opposite of that.

Why? Who had put it in her head that she looked anything less than perfect?

He turned to fully face her, reaching to trace his thumb over her lower lip. “Confession time.”

She said nothing, just looked into his soul with those mesmerizing eyes of hers.

“You took me by surprise,” he told her.

“How so?”

“Taking control like that. It was … unexpected.”

A little smirk. “Never let a woman have her way with you, Sebastian?”

He chose to ignore that name. “Nope.”

“Never?”

“Never.”

“Huh.” She smiled then, a satisfied little smile that made him feel warm all over. “You’re welcome.”

He laughed and reached to run a fingertip over her collarbone, then went lower to trace her creamy skin. “Want to know somethin’ else?”

“What?”

He made another pass. “You have the most beautiful breasts I’ve ever seen.”

She studied his face for a moment, searching for something in his eyes that he hoped to hell she found.

“And it’s a damn shame to hide them.” He leaned away and studied them, full and round and mouthwateringly gorgeous. “They’re perfect,” he murmured, “and beg to be sucked.”

Slowly, he lowered his head. She started to fidget. Not wanting to do anything she didn’t enjoy, he paused and looked up, finding her worried gaze on him. “Do you like to be touched there, Jannie?”

She hesitated. “Not just before …” Her gaze slid to the three unopened tampon boxes on the dresser.

“Ah.” Now it made sense. They were sensitive right now. With gentlefingers, he traced a featherlight circle around one, then the other, pressing a soft kiss to each. “I’ll take a rain check, then.” He grinned. “And be warned, I fully intend to redeem it.”
