“Are you hungry?”
“No.”
The loud rumble from Kit’s belly made Red chuckle.
“I think your tummy’s telling me something different. I think I need to feed my little boy.”
“Not a little.” Kit raised his head. “I don’t know what I am yet, but I’m not a little.”
Red nodded. “Thank you for telling me.”
“Are you disappointed?”
“Disappointed?” Red was confused. “Why would I be disappointed with you?”
“That I’m not a little. Daddies like their boys to be littles, like Ti from the club.”
“There are all kinds of Daddies, just like there are all kinds of boys. Take the Biker Daddy Bodyguards. All of the boys are different. And I know of a family who live on a mountain just like this, where no boy is the same.”
Kit squinted down at him. “You know a family of boys?”
“I knowofthem. They’re something of a legend. Seven brothers, all Daddies, all have boys.”
“Oh wow.” Kit’s eyes widened. “That must be something to see.”
“Ask Josh Cooper. He knows them well.”
“Is he a boy?”
Red snorted. “No Daddy would take him on. No one tells him what to do. Except maybe Cal. He’s a bossy bottom. But no, not a boy. I like him though. He’s respectful of our lifestyle.” He saw Kit’s expression darken and swatted him on the ass. “I said I like him, nothing more. He’s a nightmare and he’s not my type.”
“What is your type?”
Oh, his sneaky, sneaky boy. Red was ready to make Kit’s butt a glowing red.
“You don’t need to fish for compliments, Kit. You’re in my arms. You should know by now I’m a one-boy Daddy.” Red let a growl seep into his voice, feeling smugly satisfied when Kit shivered.
“But I’ve never had a Daddy,” Kit said, sounding a little forlorn, maybe overwhelmed. “I don’t know what Daddies—you—want from me.”
Red stroked his hair. “You’ve got time to learn. We’ll learn together, Kit. You and me.”
“You said you’d leave me if I was moved.”
Red flinched. He had said that. And now he had to repair the damage. “Where you go, I’ll go. We’ll be together.”
Kit stared at him, his mouth pursed, his expression fierce. He clearly didn’t believe Red.
Red cupped his neck and pulled him down for a tender kiss. “You and me. Together.”
Burrowing his face into the crook of Red’s neck, Kit sighed, his warm breath ghosting over raspy hairs.
“I want to believe you.”
“I know, I know, sweetheart. Your world has turned upside down and you can’t believe anything right now. And that’s okay. It’s going to be like that until we can find somewhere for us to settle down together.”
“I’m not going back home, am I?”
Kit sounded so forlorn that Red had to hold him tighter.
