“It’s okay.” I nod then kiss him again. “I’m all in.”

He smiles and kisses me back.

“Okay, okay.” I pull away from him, but only slightly. “Then I just have one more question.”

“What?”

“Food or sex?” I squint. It’s gotta be one, right? “’Cause I’m ready to dick you the fuck down right now.”

“You sure you…um…should?”

“This I promise you, Belle, I’m good. Swear.” But I need to be sure he is too. “Are you…okay? To have sex, I mean? I don’t want to overexert you.”

I brush his hair out of his eyes. Little dude is due for a haircut soon.

“It’s not that bad.” He kisses me again, then pulls back and asks, “Can I?”

“Yes, yes! One thousand times yes!” I’m jumping up and down like a giddy little kid. I did it. It worked! And he said he loves me back. Holy hell, he loves me. I pin him against the wall and kiss him. No tongue. Just lips. It’s sweet and simple and so perfect.

I could get lost in him. I could crawl into his love and wrap it around me like a blanket on a rainy day. He is home. No matter where he’s at, he’s home to me.

“I love you,” I whisper into his mouth. “I love you so much.”

“I love you too, Paul.”

I stop and pull back to look into his eyes. He looks hurt that I broke contact.

“No. No ‘too’. Saying ‘too’ sounds like you’re only saying it because I said it and I don’t want that. I only want you to say it if you mean it.”

“I mean it, babe. I promise I mean it. I love you.”

I’m all teeth and red face when I kiss him again. This time I snake my arms around his back, slow and deliberate, and pull him close. His arms move around my neck so there’s nothing but our clothes between us.

Eventually we part and I can barely breathe. “Can I take you to my place? Huxley won’t be back until tomorrow and I don’t want anyone walking in on us.”

“Where’s Huxley?”

“Visiting her sister. I prepared for this. I knew you’d say yes.” And I give him my evil grin and wiggle my eyebrows.

“Oh really?” He smiles.

“Really.” I squeeze him.

“You’re an asshole, you know that, right?” Easton laughs.

“Oh, speaking of assholes. Can we please go? Like, now?”

“I’ll pack a bag.” We untangle and I lean down to grab the food and gift.

Easton decides to eat later ’cause he’s worried about bottoming after just eating a footlong sandwich. Totally fair. We can nuke them in the microwave later. Can’t have anything getting in the way of what is about to ensue.

Easton drops his bag at the foot of my bed as I lean against the doorframe. He looks back at me. “What?”

“The things I’m about to do to that ass will be sinful.”

He sits on the edge of the bed and leans back on his hands. “Only if I let you.”
