You’re late for dinner.

I sucked in a breath though I didn’t need it. It was going to be like this now. I’d have to go tohimfor blood every single night.

Heading to my new pile of shoes, I picked up a new pair of combat boots with steel spikes sticking out of them.

My anger and fear were still fresh as a damn daisy. In essence, Grim owned me. He swore he wouldn’t abuse the power, but I knew control was everything to him. Sooner or later, he’d slip and yank my leash so hard I’d choke on it.

Dropping the boots, I changed my mind, a spot of brilliance hitting me. I grabbed the ruby bikini I’d worn when I was playing bait. Was that really only a week ago?

I threw on some heels and tied a sheer black “cover-up” around my waist. I’d give the explanation that, of course, I’d want to go for a swim after my meal.

Grim could congratulate himself on holding the power in our relationship, but I intended to make him regret every second of it.

Every second.
