Thirty years ago she betrayed the person she loved most. Now she’s running out of time to make it right.
Linnea and Ulla were inseparable growing up in small-town Minnesota. What began as friendship became a love neither knew quite how to handle, especially in a world where being together meant risking everything.
Then Linnea made a choice she would regret for the rest of her life.
Her betrayal didn’t just break Ulla’s heart. It brought a dangerous man from her mother’s past back into their lives, setting off a tragedy Linnea never could have anticipated and leaving two families to live with the consequences.
Years later, Linnea is running out of time to find Ulla and finally make things right. But she knows an apology won’t be enough after everything Ulla has lost.
So she sets out to uncover the truth about Ulla’s family, hoping to give her the answers she’s been denied for decades.
What she discovers is a history of stolen identities and old crimes that Ulla’s mother worked desperately to leave behind.
Linnea may finally have something to offer the woman she hurt so deeply.
Whether Ulla wants to hear it is another matter.
