Abby’s focus had always been on her job. As a marketing manager for a major public relations firm, she’s driven to win – for herself, her company, and for the clients she manages. When she talked the C-suite into giving her a chance at turning the all-orc Baltimore Hockey team, the Tusks, into a viral sensation, she never doubted her success. Because Abby never fails.
Except when it comes to her love life. That was one giant failure. The guys she’d dated were great, but there’d been no spark on her end. There’d never be been a spark on her end, no matter how hard she’d tried. Was she broken? Was something wrong with her? Why wasn’t love like her romance novels? Where was all the yearning and fire and…zing?
Bwat couldn’t say it was love at first sight. It was definitely attraction at first sight, and when Abby had first spoken with him, when she’d waved her hands around in enthusiastic gestures talking about how the menus in the pub could be better organized to increase appetizer orders, he’d been enchanted. And when she’d smiled at him, with sparkling blue eyes and adorable creases in her cheeks, he’d known his heart would forever be in her hands. But how could an orc who’d never excelled at anything in his life win over a woman who was all about winning – a woman who didn’t seem to return his affection no matter what he did?
He’d just have to try harder. And if that meant he needed to go viral, then so be it. He’d just need to figure out what going viral meant first.
An orc who’s a combination of walking-Wikipedia and Love Connection
A driven career girl who is looking for her happy-ever-after
It’s love-is-a-journey for Bwat and Abby in book 3 of the Orcs on Ice series.
