Scorched

The moment Fabrice chose to say screw it and just be happy, a man came along and stepped all over that plan. He’s not complaining.

Kirkland has lived a lie his entire life. He lived in the shadows, doing everything to keep a boy safe he sees as a son. Now Atticus is married, and they’ve moved to the Bosi compound. Everyone keeps telling him he’s free now. But he has no clue who he actually is, and the man he so desperately craves is way too young to genuinely want him.
For years, Fabrice has run the kitchens for Beau Bosi. He’s felt isolated and lonely. Fabrice is shaking that off. He’s seeing more men than he can handle and taking his happiness back. When Kirkland came along, Fabrice thought he would be no different. Except he is, and Fabrice won’t stop until Kirkland sees that too.

Scorched is the ninth book in Charity Parkerson’s Killers Inc. series, where hired assassins and their ilk find the love that finally saves them. These are best enjoyed when read in order.
