Queen of the Pole

Deja. That’s the name her mother gave her, but in the streets of Miami, they know her as Poison. Born and raised in the city of Opa- Locka, Deja grew up watching the women in her life hustle. It wasn’t just any hustle though. It was the naked hustle. Her mother danced, and so did her aunt. She saw what the naked hustle could afford you. Designer bags, and clothes. Nice cars, and fast money. Seeing that kind of ghetto- fabulous life at such a young age sparked her interest, so when it was time for high school graduation, Deja knew that she wanted to follow in her mom’s and aunt’s footsteps. Her mind was made up already. She was anxious to become the Queen of the Pole.

Five years later, here Deja is at twenty- three, and her name rings bells throughout the streets of Miami. Poison is the dancer that she always dreamed of being. She’s confident, untouchable on the stage, and desirable. Women were either going to hate her or become inspired. The thing is, Deja and Poison are two completely different women. Behind all that confidence, sex appeal, and riches, lives a broken woman that’s carrying childhood trauma. It wasn’t easy growing up with the kind of mother that Deja had. A father that she never got the chance to meet. With no father figure, Deja has always picked the wrong kind of men and thought the worst of them.

Then, there’s Warren Bennett, better known in the streets of Miami as Wolf. Cut from a different cloth and doesn’t really share many similarities with Deja. Wolf comes from money. His father is the owner and founder of Bennett Aviation Group. Coming from that kind of wealth, one would think that he would run the family business alongside his brothers, but Wolf is the middle child and has always wanted to move to the beat of his own drum. Not only that, but with a strong personality like Wolve’s, it’s caused for years of tension between him and his father, leaving Wolf to open his own business. He’s the city’s most successful jeweler, and the man that many women could only wish for a second of his time.

So, how does the hottest stripper in Miami land in the presence of a man like Wolf? Her involvement with the wrong man places her in Wolf’s path. When they cross paths, he sees her for Deja. Not Poison, which is something that’s never happened before.
