Royally Tempted

It’s my birthday and what am I getting?

A husband. Not of my own choosing.
Someone to strengthen the monarchy, but not somebody I love.
It’s why we’re in New York. So my brother can decide who will pay the highest price for a princess bride.

A stolen kiss sets my world aflame and I sneak out of the hotel to follow him.
Maybe if he thinks I’m someone else, I can tempt him to take things further.
Especially here at Club Curve where I feel more comfortable than any ballroom I’ve ever been in.
I’m determined to have at least one night where I’m more than just a connection to a crown.
