Meeting Ezra was the easiest part of my story, it's everything that came after that was difficult. He is everything they say he is, and more, but there is something about the way he looks at me, the way he only sees me that terrifies me.
They say everyone has their own demons they wrestle with daily, but Ezra doesn't. He embraces them, and treats them like his friends. What scares me the most is how the darkness within me awakens every time he's near, like his abyss snuffs out the light within me. It spreads into my veins, consuming me, until I no longer know who I am without him.
