“I’m sorry. If you could just show me the nearest place I could jump off a cliff, that’d be wonderful.”

He shook his head and gestured towards his friend. The two bearded men spoke softly, then Heath looked over at me. “Come on,” he said.

“Where?”

“Let’s go. I’m going to take you on a date. Make it real.”

“What?”

“Well, I just gave you a very strong drink on I think an empty stomach.”

At that moment my stomach rumbled and I blushed. “Maybe.”

“So, let’s get out of here. I’m not closing, and I’d like to get to know more about this fantasy relationship of ours.”

“Please don’t.”

“Come on. And I can tell you all about the time I met this beautiful blonde and I couldn’t stop thinking about her. But I never saw her again.”

“Why would I want to hear about a blonde?”

He rolled his eyes and slid his hands through my hair.

“I wonder why.”

“What?” I asked, trying to keep up with him. It was kind of hard to do that with that drink in my system.

“You know my sister. You know I’m a good guy. So, get to know the real one.”

“Are you hitting on me right now?” I blurted.

“I’m trying. But then again, we’ve been dating for a while now, you should be used to my flirting.”

I shook my head and chugged the rest of my water. “This is a weird dream.”

“Maybe, but it’s been an interesting one so far. Come on, let’s go on a date. Make it real.” Then he leaned forward. “And then we’ll figure out exactly how far we’re going to go into this lie.”

I blushed when he took my hand. I wondered if it mattered if I never woke up from this dream.

Because I really didn’t want to.

ChapterThree

Heath

This was probably a mistake, but it had been one hell of a night already. I might as well see where this mistake took us.

Because she was here.

The woman I hadn’t stopped thinking about.

And she was a virgin.

Meaning I should probably stop thinking about her.

But I wouldn’t.

At least not tonight.
