FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Producers Explain their decision to embark on a “blitz filming schedule” at Solis Emerald Queen

WetnWild TV Executive and Hot Slice Executive Producer Shane Hampton talks about his decision to partner with luxury resort for this cycle of his hit TV series.

“Solis Emerald Queen was a no-brainer for our team when it came to conceiving of this cycle of Hot Slice. We knew we wanted something bigger, bolder and sexier, and this location has it all.”

“This luxury all-inclusive resort is a privileged enclave, where service reigns supreme, and as you know, our stars need their service.”

“Even the most princess-and-the-pea personalities on this cycle’s roster — I’m talking about Savannah Jack and Rhiannon Maltane here obviously, but let’s be honest, Pete is a bit of a princess as well — will appreciate the resort’s Bahamian-style architecture, elegant villas and suites. And while regular guests can expect perfect privacy, rest-assured, when it comes to HotSlice, every minute of every day will be filmed. The cast just won’t feel like it!”

“The amped-up schedule serves multiple purposes. It means we are able to accommodate the various needs of our diverse roster, many of whom are committed to other projects currently in production. Additionally, we know our viewers love drama, and when you put a lot of big personalities in close proximity like this, and lay a challenging schedule on them to boot … well, let’s just say that tensions are sure to run high and that makes for great TV.”

“Expect sparks to fly on this cycle of Hot Slice. We promise it will all be worth it.”

Friday Afternoon

The email arrives in my inbox at exactly 3:03 pm on Friday afternoon.

Subject: You’re going down

I know what you did. You thought you got away with it, but I know the truth. And I’m going to tell.

Stay tuned, b—-

My heart seems to shudder, then stop. My breath catches in my throat. As I stare at the email, the moment expands and time slows to a crawl.

Then, all of a sudden, with a sort of whoosh, everything’s moving again. Fast. My armpits dampen with sweat.

It took two years, but here we are.

There’s no return address. Or there is, but it’s basically anonymous — a hotmail account with a long string of numbers in front of it.

This is it, I think.

I’m done.

Chapter One

It’s early Friday afternoon and my phone is furiously vibrating.

Face down on my desk, it’s buzzing and buzzing and buzzing, and as tempting as things that buzz are, if you know what I mean, I’m not going to look at it.

I’m not.

I’m going to keep working.

With one hand, I pull a bunch of press releases and other junk papers out of my inbox and plop the pile of pages over my cell.
