Misha and Luka are currently checking that all of Mikhail’s men are dead. Pasha is checking on our men.

The lift doors open and Lev steps out with his sniper rifle strapped to his back. I hear a whirling noise and Isadora’s drones enter the area. They fly over the dead bodies and beam a red light at their faces; I turn to Isadora with a questioning look.

“They are just completing the face recognition scan to identify any outstanding men. It’s nearly complete and I’ve got the clean-up team on the way now,” Isadora replies, tapping away on her phone.

“What the hell are those things?” Valentina questions.

“They are Ida’s drones,” I reply.

“That one looks like he’s got a mini rocket launcher strapped to him. He also look’s distinctly like a wasp,” Valentina states pointing to one of the drones.

“Oh, he’s Sting. He has a custom mini high-grade missile attached to him and a piston action stinger. That one over there is Bobee, he has a taser attached to him and packs an almighty punch. Then there’s Horny who will just be coming through the doors in a minute. He has a built-in mini machine gun, plus a grenade launcher,” Isadora informs us animatedly.

Valentina’s mouth is agape, as she stares at Isadora explaining her drones as though she’s describing a car not a deadly modified robot. Valentina looks over to me, raising her brows in question, to which I just shrug my shoulders in reply. I’m fucked if I’m going to try and explain my nutty sister, I gave up years ago.

“Oh well that explains it then; a Bee, a Wasp and I’d say at a guess Hornet. Just a normal day at the office then, brilliant. Oh, my fucking God, he’s a big boy!” Valentina announces comically.

We all look towards the door, as what looks like a giant Hornet flies straight towards us. Fuck me he’s the size of a small dog and deadly as fuck. My sister smiles as it heads in her direction. Isadora strokes the thing on its head as it repeatedly bumps its head into her shoulder.

The other drones do the same and she strokes their heads too. I feel like I’m in a parallel universe where this happens every day. Shit, I need a drink.

“I think I like your sister Kai, she’s as mad as a hatter but it’s endearing,” Valentina whispers up to me.

“I don’t know whether I should be worried or glad you like her now.” I reply.

“Why?” she asks.

“Well, if you two get your heads together we’re all done for. But I will warn you, she likes you a little too much after your display today,” I reply.

“I’m glad we like each other now; it will make things a bit better with your family I suppose,” Valentina replies.

“You don’t have to worry about my family, Valentina. I’ll sort them out. You will be a part of them soon,” I reassure.

“Only until you get bored of me and then I’ll be thrown out on the scrap heap.” Valentina comments.

I stare at her in shock. If she thinks she can escape me now she has another thing coming. She’s mine! Before I can tell her this though my sister interrupts our conversation.

“One man is missing Nikki,” Ida announces.

“That would be Steel Eye. He’s over in The Victoria Gardens, floor 24,” Lev states.

“No. That’s where Horny was, making sure you killed him, so he’s already accounted for. That means this man is missing,” Ida replies, handing her phone over to me.

“Of course, I killed him Ida, what the fuck do you take me for,” Lev angrily replies.

“A man. So anyway, where is this fucker?” Ida says dismissing Lev.

Valentina leans over so she can see the photo, then she pulls back giving Luka a worried look.

“Who is it, Valentina?” I ask.

“Konstantin.” She replies.

“How the fuck has he slipped the net; I want him found now,” I roar.

Pasha approaches me, standing closely to my side but not saying a word until I address him.

“How are my men?” I bark.
