I hated that I kept getting so overemotional all the time, but Hudson was there every step of the way, so sweet in his understanding nature of me being overwhelmed by everything that was suddenly happening to me.
HUDSON POV:
I know it had been my idea, and would have had to have been done eventually if she was to look and dress the part required to be my PA…but the transformation at the salon earlier today, had bewitched me in a way I’d never before experienced over the mind-blowing result of how stunningly beautiful she could truly be. She was already rather the beauty queen in my eyes after seeing her emerge from the shower yesterday, but right now…she looked like a goddess.
The proud man in me naturally wanted to show her off, to have the whole world know I knew her, in what I realized was a beautiful coming-of-age lady in my presence. Even in her borrowed man shirt, grunge boots, and belt-fashioned attire which in the end she’d happily shopped all day in, she somehow made it work better than any model could on a professional runway.
‘’How about I take us out to dinner tonight? I could do with a nice meal and a relaxing evening before going back to work tomorrow. And while there, I can brief you on some of the PA tasks I’ll require you to do for me this week. You could uh….you could maybe wear one of the pretty dresses you bought today’’ I smiled warmly at her.
‘’I would love that Hudson, really I would’’ she said ‘’but um, if it’s okay with you I’m rather beat after all that shopping today. And as you know, I haven’t been with a roof over my head in some years. So if I’m to be completely honest and upfront with you, right now, I kind of would prefer to just stay in and enjoy the feel of a warm home around me. At least for this week anyway, just to let my mind settle and gain the comfort of living well which I’ve been missing to the streets all these years’’ she said turning in the seat of my car and looking at me.
‘’I don’t know what I was thinking, of course we can do that Taylor’’ I said, feeling rather inept in that moment for not reading the situation around me better.
‘’No no, it was a wonderful gesture Hudson, really it was’’ she smiled placing her hand on my arm ‘’it’s just going to take me a while to adjust is all. I’m so overwhelmed already with everything happening, and need a little time to just take each day as it comes, so I can fully transition and adjust into the best version of me’’
‘’I can respect that. And I do’’ I said politely patting her hand on top of mine in understanding ‘’you um…you look beautiful by the way’’ I told her, and she lowered her eyes shyly before raising them again.
‘’Thank you Hudson’’ she very sweetly said, with her soft cheeks beginning to redden slightly ‘’so um, how about we order in instead?’’ she said fumbling her nervous hands back in her lap ‘’we could grab us a cool movie or something to watch, then later you can brief me still on all things PA while I take notes’’ she grinned.
‘’That already sounds like a better idea’’ I grinned back, and with our shopping done for the day, I smoothly cruised us back to The Fairmont, with Taylor excitedly walking on ahead to the elevators with her card key, while I followed behind with our shopping bags from out the trunk…damn, you look good baby, REAL good. Meaning I need to find a fucking way and fast to suppress the magnetic feel I get whenever I’m around you...
CHAPTER 16
‘’Hey there, not sure if you remember me but, we kind of met earlier today…my names Hudson, how are you doing?’’ I asked, quietly closing my ensuite bathroom door behind me and loosening up a few buttons on my shirt.
‘’How could I forget…’’ said the shop assistant who’d slipped me her number earlier, the one eyeball fucking me across the entire store wherever I went with her and Taylor ‘’oh wow, do forgive my excitement but I didn’t think you’d actually call. You’re like the most famous person I’ve ever met, not to mention the cutest too’’
‘’You know who I am then?’’ I grinned.
‘’Of course I do, and was rather stunned to see you suddenly walk into our department store’’ she gushed.
‘‘Ha ha, well, I wouldn’t exactly call me famous, but I’ll take ‘cute’ as a compliment’’ I grinned looking into the mirror at myself ‘’hey…you okay to switch to video phone?’’
‘’Videophone…?’’ she paused a moment ‘’uh, okay, sure’’ and I clicked the video call button before placing my cell phone on the side so I could step back and let her see me.
‘’Oh wow, you’re even cuter than I remembered’’ she said upon answering, her hand quickly tousling her hair to one side, while flirtatiously pouting her lips down the phone at me.
‘’So are you…’’ I winked into the screen at her, purposefully taking a seat on the edge of my second Jacuzzi styled bath which leveled perfectly with the phone on the side, enough for her to take in my entire physique, and anything else she wanted to look at ‘’although, I’m not one to beat around the bush, uh…’’
‘’Hayley’’
‘’Hayley. I’m a straight-to-the-point kind of guy, and I rather liked what I saw of you earlier…still do’’ I winked again ‘’with that said, I was maybe hoping Hayley that you’d want to show me a little more of that bold personality of yours…’’
‘’You mean…’’ she said, lightly tracing her fingers down her chest and biting her lip while looking at me.
‘’That’s exactly what I mean’’ I said standing up and unbuckling open my belt…
TAYLOR POV:
I still can’t believe it’s actually me….I thought staring wide-eyed at my reflection in Hudson’s hallway mirror, while he was off having himself a quick shower and taking a few business calls.
I on the other hand decided to have myself a little fun with all my shopping, as I pranced back and forth between the bathroom mirror and the huge mound of shopping bags I had all sitting out on the couch, until finally, I was dressed comfortably in the pair of black bedroom shorts and white tank top we’d bought at Urban Outfitters, to enjoy our movie night in.
After clearing aside the bags and boxes, I sat playing around with my new cell phone I had plugged in to charge. It took me a while to get the Bluetooth synced with my old and new phone, but finally, I managed to transfer all the data and apps I used, which really wasn’t much, but it was nice to have them installed anyway on my new cell. I also transferred the little Micro card over which I’d swiped clean when first finding the phone. There wasn’t anything of mine really on it, just a few pictures of a stray kitty I’d made friends with on the street a year back, before some drunken asshole one Saturday night sadly ran her over.
With everything intact, I got to work on completing the second assignment Hudson had set me as his PA, and that was to order in dinner from Red Lobster for us to enjoy our movie night with, with clear instructions not to include any fresh lemon slices with his order, as he was allergic.
Around a half hour had gone by since ordering our food, and I was sat still in the same spot excitedly playing around again with my new phone, before eventually having to hide it from myself under one of the couch pillows, if I was to ever complete the third assignment Hudson had set me. I got to work doing just that, as I sat searching now through his huge smart TV which included Netflix, for a cool movie for us to watch, when he suddenly emerged from his bedroom with a rather seemingly big grin on his face.
