I turned the page to a picture. It was old, and the color faded out. A tall man with dark hair was leaning against the hood of an old muscle car, a dark-haired woman wrapped in his arms. Below the picture, it read:

Cynthia & Oliver.

"Are these your parents?" I asked Iris. She nodded her head slowly.

"That book has everything about the club in it, from the beginning until-" Iris stopped mid-sentence. I looked at her, confused. "Until the day my parents died,"

"Issac told me you two were there that day," I said. She nodded.

"I remember that day like it was yesterday," she said, staring at the desk and twisting a ring around her fingers. "Isaiah blames Issac and me for that day. Even though he was off snorting coke off some whore tits” She paused. "Sorry," she laughed nervously.

"Is- Is this why you left?" I asked. Nodding, she sighed.

"I never wanted to be sucked into the club stuff. So, when I could, I left, went to college, got my degree, and then came back and became an ER doctor here."

"You didn't want to be too far from your family? Did you?" She nodded.

"I was the oldest, and I felt like I needed to come back and watch over them. Even though Doll is amazing, I felt like I needed to come back. I basically failed cause look where we are now, a dying breed."

Looking back down at the book, I turned another page. This photo was of a bunch of people with bikes in front of Raven's garage. "That's the original crew," Iris pointed out.

I read the names labeled across the bottom of the photo.

From left to right- Oscar Raven, Oliver Raven, Levi Raven, Cadien Raven, William Swan-

I stopped reading once I hit that name. "William Swan?" I said to Iris.

"He was my dad's best friend, their road captain," she explained.

"Did he have any kids?" I asked, my heart in my throat.

"Yeah, a son. His wife left and took his son with her because he wouldn't leave the club. Nobody knows where they went or if she changed their names. Will also died the day my parents did. Levi had men raid the clubhouse, too. We almost lost the entire club that day."
