“This is soooo fun!”
Prescott smiled. “I think so too.”
The guys made their way to the barn. Inside, over a hundred guests filled the rows of seats, the excitement palpable.
Pride filled Prescott’s heart. Everyone was safe, in part because of him. Despite the relaxed and festive atmosphere, his Glock was secured inside his ankle holster.
He set Ethan down at the rear of the procession, then walked past his band of brothers—Stryker, Cooper, Jericho and Rebel—to his place at the front of the line. The bridesmaids entered, looking beautiful in their matching black dresses, smiles brightening their pretty faces.
For Prescott, only one woman stole his attention… and his heart. Jacqueline looked stunning in her black gown, her styled, auburn mane framing her beautiful face. Her gaze found his and her smile halted his breath.
When she came to a stop beside him, he offered his arm, and whispered, “You are gorgeous, and you’re mine.”
“All yours.” She kissed his cheek. “You look amazing. So handsome.”
As soon as the processional music started, he and Jack made their way down the aisle toward his brother, who waited alone. At the end, he kissed her cheek before taking his place by his brother’s side.
Two at a time, the groomsmen and their bridesmaids made their way toward the alter.
Ethan, carrying the RING SECURITY case, grinned his way down the aisle, stealing the show. He waved at Jack before standing with Prescott.
Prescott rested his hand on Ethan’s small shoulder, and Ethan grinned up at him. “You did a good job, Ethan.”
When he peered across the aisle at Jacqueline, he knew they were meant to carve their own path and create a beautiful life together.
Then, Addison appeared, her dad by her side. Within seconds, she homed in on Nicky. They shared a smile before she set off toward him.
The wedding ceremony was low-key and filled with heartfelt love.
Even though the threat had been removed, Hawk and Addison had hired a twelve-person security team from Maverick Hott’s ThunderStrike organization.
Hawk had told his groomsmen, “We paid for it, and we’re gonna ensure there are no more surprises.”
During the reception, while Ethan was with Nana and Papa, Prescott invited Jack up to the loft. Earlier that day, Cooper and Jericho had carried up a sofa and a throw rug, so guests could check out the upper level. After she eased onto the cushion, he sat beside her, and clasped her hand.
“How are you doing?” he asked.
“Better,” she replied. “Now that I’m no longer looking over my shoulder, I want to help others, but I don’t know how.”
“I’m here whenever you want to bounce ideas.”
“Thank you,” she said while caressing his hand.
Again, he got down on one knee, pulled out the box, and opened it. “Marry me, Jacqueline. Be my forever.”
She stared at him, then at the ring, then back at him. “For real?”
“This is a family heirloom. My mom kept it for me, but we can go ring shop—”
She captured his face in her hands and kissed him. “It’s stunning, and I would be honored. What matters most is us, together, for the rest of our lives.”
He pulled out the ring and slipped it on her finger. He stood and she rose with him. Their kiss was filled with passion and love… and so much hope for the future.
The music stopped.
With a mic in hand, Hawk said, “Can I get your attention? Check out the loft. Looks like my brother has an announcement.”
Prescott and Jacqueline peered down at the guests.
