There was a mix of applause, a few hoots, but the rest just stood there, staring up at her.
“I willnottolerate bullshit, bullying, or anything else that’s less than respectful. If you’re nice and you’re friendly, you’re welcome here. If you aren’t, get the hell out.” She waited a few seconds, before she smiled at the group. “Liliana, turn that song back up! Let’s party!”
She hopped down, walked over to Hawk, and said, “Dance with me.”
As they resumed dancing, several members and guests swung by to let her knew they appreciated that she didn’t put up with that customer’s crap.
Hawk pulled her close, lowered his head, and murmured, “Nicely handled.”
“We make a good team,” she whispered. “Let’s not fuck this up.”

Addison was ready to make a point and she knewexactlyhow she was going to do it. She loved being friends with Hawk, but they’d derailed when Tommy had told him about their hook ups.
She needed to get them back on track. While her idea was out there, she had to do something.
When the last customer left, and the staff was busy cleaning up, the bouncer locked the front door. “Addison, you ready to check the suites?”
“I’ll do it with her,” Hawk offered.
“Hey, man, good to have you on board,” Tony said. “I’m gonna take off.”
Addison followed him to the front door, locking it behind him.
“You guys signed up a lot of people,” Liliana said as she wiped down the bar, “after everyone settled back down.”
“Yeah, that was crazy.” Addison slid onto a bar stool. “What set that guy off?”
“I didn’t wait in line,” Hawk replied. “And I might have gotten into a thing with him.”
Addison spun toward him. “You hit him?”
“Only to stop him from hitting me.”
On a chuckle, Liliana finished cleaning up, then slung her bag over her shoulder. “See you Wednesday.”
This time, Hawk followed her out, locking the door behind her. When he returned, he sat beside Addison at the bar. “What’s her name?”
“Who?”
“The head bartender.”
“Liliana Moore.”
Hawk nodded. “Got it.”
“Did I tell you she has the same name as my mom?”
“For real?”
“Yeah, my mom’s name is Liliana and her maiden name was Moore.”
“You never talk about your mom.”
“Would you, if yours ran off with a cult leader?”
He gave her shoulder a gentle squeeze. “No.”
