Addison smiled. “I’d love to, but I’m going to save a few for myself.”

“You better,” Grandmom said and patted Addison’s hand.

The server returned with a tray of waters. After he set each of them down, Hawk pushed out of his chair, slipped a folded bill into the guy’s hand. “Thanks for taking good care of us.”

The man smiled. “I appreciate it. I’ll keep those waters coming.”

Though irritated, Hawk nodded. He shouldn’t have to tip a guy to do his damn job. “I’ll take a champagne.” He eyed the group. “Champagne?”

“Granddad and I will share a glass,” Grandmom replied.

Everyone else wanted bubbly too.

The server nodded. “Be right back.”

Conversations resumed, and Hawk forced himself to calm the hell down. So what if Addison had hooked up with his cousin? She hadn’t known itwashis cousin and it was none of his business anyway. He shouldn’t care who she slept with.

Only he did. And he didn’t like that it had been with Tommy.

After lunch was served, the band leader called the newlyweds up for their first dance.

“So romantic,” Addison murmured.

Hawk slid his gaze to her as she watched his sister and Lamar share their first dance as husband and wife. Truth was, he’d always been attracted to Addison, but they worked together. He had one rule. No sex with anyone at ALPHA or at his company.

She returned his gaze, and the intensity in her eyes had him wanting more.

When the song ended, the band invited the wedding party to join them.

Hawk pressed his mouth to Addison’s ear. “Dance with me.”

He loved her scent. A mix of shampoo and vanilla… and Addison.

She hitched a brow. “Do I have to?”

“Smart ass.”

On the way to the dance floor, he clasped her hand. Her fingers were small and silky smooth, her nails long. Once there, he pulled her into his arms. Rather than thread hers around his neck, she rested her fingers on his shoulders. Too much damn space separated them.

“What’s up with you?” Addison whispered. “Why are you angry?”

“Tommy is interested in you.”

Up went her eyebrows. “How do you know that?”

“He told me.”

Muscles running down her back tightened. It was subtle, but he felt them go taut. Rather than respond, she started humming along to the familiar tune.

“Are you gonna make me ask?” Annoyance punctuated his words.

“Ask what?” she quipped.

“Are you going out with him?”

Her right eyebrow arched. “No.”

More silence.
