Addison opened the gift, revealing a pair of diamond stud earrings. “Oh, I love these,” she exclaimed as she slid them into her pierced ears. “Thank you. These are perfect.”

“I thought you’d like them,” Emerson replied.

Emerson had bought Sammy a necklace with two charms. A pink flower charm and one with the initial S. Both dangled from a delicate silver chain.

Sammy’s eyes grew large and she beamed at Emerson. “It’s the prettiest necklaceever.” Small fingers carefully removed the necklace, then she asked her mom to help her put it on. After Providence clasped it around her daughter’s neck, Sammy hugged Emerson.

“Okay, ladies,” Emerson said, “it’s time for me to marry the man with the hair.”

The women laughed.

The wedding planner entered and put her hand over her heart. “Everyone looks stunning.” Her gaze stilled on Emerson. “You’re a beautiful bride. Are you ready to do this?”

“So ready,” Emerson replied with a smile.

They made their way down to the first floor and over to the ballroom reserved for the ceremony. The groomsmen waited nearby. They looked incredibly hot dressed in black, their muscles stretching against the suit fabric. More than ever, they looked like the badass band of brothers that they were.

Addison scanned the group, her heart skipping a beat when she found Hawk.

The men turned, their attention fixed on the women.

“Wow.” Hawk kissed Addison’s cheek. “You look amazing. All I want to do is kiss you.”

“Maybe later, if you’re lucky.” She stepped back to check him out. “Whew, sexy.”

He slipped his hand into his pants pocket, struck a pose. “All for you, baby.”

She laughed. “Yeah, uh-huh.”

She loved being in the wedding, loved that she wasn’t wearing a wig, wasn’t looking over her shoulder. More than any of those, she loved the man by her side.

Hawk couldn’t take his eyes off her. “I’m a lucky man,” he murmured.

“Yes, you are.”

“I hate that we can’t tell anyone what’s going on with us.”

“There’s something going on with us?” She peered into his eyes. “Really?”

He leaned close. “We’re in love.”

“You think?”

He kissed her cheek. “I know.”

“Cockyanda know-it-all.” She shot him a smile. “You’re a handful.”

The processional music began, the wedding planner opened the ballroom doors and sent them down the aisle, a couple at a time.

“Here we go,” Hawk murmured.

It was like a who’s who of ALPHA. Beyond the wedding party—Cooper and Danielle, Jericho and Liv, Sin and Evangeline, Dakota and Providence, and Prescott escorting Slash. Almost every Operative was in attendance.

As they made their way down the aisle, Hawk looked over at her. She returned his gaze and they shared a smile.

When they came to a stop, Hawk kissed her cheek, and whispered, “I love you,” before they parted.

She adored him with her entire being.
