As the class proceeded, I couldn't help but steal glances at Amelia. She seemed focused on the lecture, diligently taking notes. Her presence both intrigued and troubled me. It was as if fate had conspired to bring us together in such close proximity, blurring the boundaries between my personal desires and my professional responsibilities.

Pushing aside my inner turmoil, I poured myself into the lecture, determined to finish strong. The students were engaged, and their active participation reassured me that I had successfully regained control over the situation.

After what seemed like an eternity, the lecture finally reached its end. I half sat on the front of my desk to address them a final time.

“Okay everyone, make sure to read sections two to five before I see you again. Enjoy the rest of your day,” I said dismissing them before half focusing on the paperwork in front of me. “Miss Ross, can you please stay behind for a moment.”

I could see the girl seated next to her whispering with a frown on her face but Amelia must have reassured her enough that she got up and headed out with the rest of the students.

Amelia had made her way down the tiered stairs and dropped her bag near a desk at the front to mirror me against the desk when the last student trickled out of the hall.

I had fully refocused on her with a frown when the guys entered the hall and closed the door behind them. They are so focused on me that initially they don’t even register her presence.

“What…” Xav started before finally looking in the direction I was focusing on. It doesn’t even take him a second. “Well fuck.”

Cae took a step toward her but stopped himself from going further. “Star?”

She huffed in annoyance and crossed her arms across her beautiful chest.

I leaned back against my desk, crossing my arms, mirroring Amelia's posture. The tension in the room was palpable as the guys took in the unexpected presence of Amelia, the woman who had unknowingly captivated all of our thoughts since our encounter at The Masquerade.

"What the hell is going on, Grey?" Xavier demanded, breaking the silence. His eyes darted between me and Amelia, confusion and disbelief evident in his expression.

I let out a frustrated sigh, running a hand through my hair. "I wish I knew, Xav. But it seems fate has a twisted sense of humor."

Amelia rolled her eyes, her bratty attitude not wavering. "Oh, fate can kiss my ass. Who would have thought that the men I met at The Masquerade would turn out to be my professors? Talk about a plot twist."

“Well imagine my surprise to see the woman we so thoroughly fucked only days ago in my freshman class,” I growled in response.

Ash frowned. “You’re a freshman here? But, but you're older than the freshman that go here.”

I heard her growl from where I stood against my desk. “I took time off to look after my sick mother.”

I narrowed my eyes at Amelia's defiant tone. "Regardless of your circumstances, Amelia, the fact remains that this situation poses a significant challenge for all of us. We must approach it with caution and professionalism."

Cae stepped forward, his expression a mix of concern and confusion. "So, what now? What's the plan?"

I took a moment to gather my thoughts, knowing that we needed to address the situation promptly. "First, we need to establish clear boundaries. Our personal interaction from The Masquerade cannot interfere with our roles as your professors. We have to maintain professionalism at all times."

Amelia snorted, her sass returning full force. "Oh, don't worry, Professor Steele. I'm well aware of the boundaries. I won't be calling you ‘Sir’ again in the lecture hall."

I felt my hand twitch as I struggled to suppress the urge to bend her over and spank her ass.

I clenched my jaw, trying to get a hold of my thoughts. Amelia's words were so provocative, they were both tempting and risky. We can't let our desires mess with our judgment or put us in a bad spot.

"Amelia," I said firmly, my voice tinged with a warning. "I expect you to treat this seriously. Our past encounter should stay between us. It's important to keep things professional for everyone involved."

Amelia met my gaze, defiance gleaming in her eyes. "Don't worry, Professor Steele," she retorted, mischief in her tone. "I might not be calling you 'Sir' anymore, but that doesn't mean I won't find other ways to make you uncomfortable."

A surge of lust hit me, but I quickly pushed it down, reminding myself to be restrained. "That's enough," I growled, my voice low and commanding. "Our personal connection can't mess with our roles as professors and student. We have to keep this secret no matter what."

Xavier stepped forward, concern lacing his voice. "Grey's right. We need to set some ground rules and boundaries. We can't afford any slip-ups or rumors that could ruin our careers or this institution's reputation."

Ash nodded in agreement, his face serious. "We have to be discreet and act professionally. Our main focus should be providing quality education and upholding the standards we're responsible for."

Amelia sighed, her bratty attitude softening a bit. "I don't want any special treatment. Just treat me like any other student. We all have rules to follow."

I looked at her, appreciating her determination. "Agreed, Amelia. We'll make sure to be fair and treat everyone equally. Let's concentrate on handling this situation without compromising our roles as educators."
