The intensity of our connection consumes us. All that remains is the raw, unfiltered essence of our desires, guiding us towards a liberation that can only be found in the darkest recesses of humanity.
Mikhail
My dick fucking hurts when I tuck myself back into my pants. My plan worked out rather well, all things considered. Of course, there are a few loose ends, one of which is the dead body upstairs and my father, who has called several times today. Each time I let the call go to voicemail.
Again.
This time, I’m not getting away with a stern warning, and by the time he hears I’m going to make Gianna my wife, he’ll lose his shit completely. At least once he realizes there is no way in hell she’ll let him gain any control of her organization, which is likely going to be his primary intention after getting over the initial shock.
“Come on,” Gianna says, grinning when I arrange my abused cock in my pants.
Right about now, a pair of boxers might actually help ease the scratching of the rough jeans against my cock, but each painful moment of friction is a reassuring reminder that I’ve made Gianna give in. That she’s acknowledged my place in her life.
When we get upstairs, Gianna calls Mateo’s name out the front door. The guy looks about as comfortable as a stripper in a church when he walks in, but Gianna ignores it.
“Mateo, help me get Mario to the car. We need to dispose of this body discreetly. Mikhail, ensure there are no traces left behind in the cottage. I’ll send a cleaning crew in after, but it’s best we don’t leave anything too obvious.”
Mateo shoots me a curious glance, but I just shoot him a grin and get to work, wiping away any evidence of our presence. This isn’t one of the fun parts of our business, but a necessary one, so I have a decent amount of practice. Plus, I figure Gianna wants a moment to talk to Mateo.
An hour later, we pull into Gianna’s driveway. She instructed Mateo to drop Mario’s body off in the same room where her father was murdered. It’s a tad melodramatic for my taste, and more reckless than I would have expected from Gianna, but apparently is a custom in her family.
If you betray someone and are dumb enough to get caught, you get to take their spot.
Now, the guards at her gate are giving me curious looks. Mateo took Gianna’s car to get rid of Mario’s body, so we took my car.
“Good evening, Ms. Bruno,” one of the guards greets as he pushes a button to open the electric gate.
“Come on,” Gianna nudges me after putting my car into park. Of course, she insisted on driving and who am I to deny her the little pleasures in life?
“Think your butler will stare daggers at me again?”
She laughs. “Probably. Anton is a great guy, though.”
Except, when we enter the foyer, no one greets us. With raised eyebrows, Gianna waves me to follow her and we enter a large kitchen where two women are sitting at a table drinking cups of tea.
“Where is Anton?” Gianna asks, getting straight to the point.
The two women look subdued, and the older one takes an envelope and hands it to Gianna. “He left his letter of resignation.”
“What?” She opens the envelope and skims the letter.
“Why did he resign?” I ask, reading from her expression that his departure comes as a shock.
“Mario asked Anton about my whereabouts on the night of the poker game bust and he told him.”
That has me raise an inquisitive eyebrow. After all, it’s not like her butler joined us as we crashed that particular party.
Gianna sighs. “When I got home, I handed him a laundry bag from the hotel we stayed at that day. I guess he saw the hotel logo and assumed I’d stayed at the hotel all night, so he told Mario as much, thinking that would calm Mario down and give me an alibi. Later he overheard us talking and realized Mario ordered that hit on me. He feels his loyalty might be in question since he’s divulged private information to Mario.”
The women at the table gasp. Looks like Gianna didn’t tell them about the attempt on her life or her uncle’s involvement.
“Sounds like your Anton is as loyal as they come,” I admit begrudgingly.
“It explains how Mario found out that we’d spend time together,” Gianna murmurs.
“Would you like some food?” The older woman offers.
“No, thank you, Mellie. We have some things to discuss. I do want you to meet Mikhail, though. We got engaged earlier today.”
