Icrack an eye open and look around the cabin I’m in, noting a warm body pressed against me. Hoping it wasn’t a dream, I look down, and it’s Etta’s blonde curls laying haphazardly across the pillow next to me. Thank fuck it’s real, which means we took a huge step toward being together, and I can’t find one hint of regret or nervousness about it.

“Stunning, isn’t she?” a raspy voice asks.

Taking my attention from Etta, I look at Jessica, who’s leaning up on an elbow, watching our girl sleep. “She is. Always has been,” I tell her.

“I have no second thoughts about what happened last night. But whatever happens next is all on her. If you hurt her again, I will fucking end you,” she threatens, and my cock jerks under the blanket. Hearing her defend Etta has me growing hard. Her protectiveness is a turn-on. I don’t know what the future holds for Jessica and me, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t attracted to her.

“I won’t. She’s it for me.”

“Stop talking about me and go back to sleep,” Etta grumbles, her eyes still closed as she repositions in the bed, pushing her ass against my side.

“Are you okay, Etta?” I ask, praying she doesn’t have regrets about last night and what we did together.

“Why wouldn’t I be?”

“I-I-I just wanna make sure you don’t regret last night or what we did together,” I admit, and my voice cracks, hinting at how terrified I am of her answer.

“I was tipsy, Michael, not wasted. I was aware of what we were doing, and I enjoyed it. Does this whole thing confuse the hell out of me? Yes. But I’m willing to try because I love and trust Jessica? Also, yes. I’m confident in what we have, but a big part of me still loves you and always will. You really hurt me when you left and then you never came back. Hell, you didn’t even call or write, just took off like you couldn’t get away from here fast enough. Away fromme.” She sits up, leaning against the headboard, and looks at me, tears swimming in her pretty eyes.

I really messed shit up when I left, and now it’s time to pay the piper. “The plan wasn’t to stay gone. My goal was to take that job and climb the ladder until I was making good money. Money that would afford me the ability to give you the life you deserved. To be worthy of you,” I confess, and even hearing it out loud now sounds silly. Etta has never been one to care about money and fancy things, but somehow I got it in my head that she wouldn’t want to be my forever if I didn’t have a posh lifestyle.

“But I didn’t want any of those things. I just wanted you and I to start a life together. Never have I been one of those women who was into fancy things. So your company sold out and Cain made you an offer, forcing you back. So what, I’m a consolation prize?” she asks, and Jessica quietly rolls out of the bed, heads to the kitchen, and comes back with three mugs.

Taking a mug from her, I take a sip. “No, I’ve never loved someone like I love you. Hell, I barely dated. I tried, as you know, but all I did was compare them to you.” I chuckle and nod at Jessica. “When Cain called, I was nervous as hell to come back here and face you. Then it hit me. This was my shot. My time to come home and win you back once and for all.”

“Okay,” she whispers.

“Okay?” I ask, running a hand over my hair, not sure what she means by justokay.

“Yeah. I’m willing to give this dating two-people thing a try if you two are serious. But this is only going to work if there is total transparency and honesty. I don’t know how to do this. All I know is I want it.” She smiles, and a pink tinge colors her cheeks.

“I was serious. I love you, and you love Jessica, so I’d never ask you to choose. No one else, though,” I tell her, and she chuckles, turning to face Jessica.

“Hey, you knowIwas okay with it. I just told you that you needed to figure out what you wanted. If this is what you want, then I’m all in, babe. I agree with him, though; no one else,” Jessica tells her, leaning in to kiss the side of her head.

“No one else for you two either. That probably makes me seem like a hypocrite, but no one else. You guys can be with me or each other, but that’s it.” She licks her lips and then bites her bottom one.

“Baby, you like the thought of us together?” Jessica asks, and Etta nods, her bottom lip still stuck between her teeth.

“You want me to fuck you while Mike fucks me? Or maybe you want me to fuck that tight little pussy while Mike takes your ass? Hmm?” Jessica purrs, rubbing two fingers over Etta’s breast before pinching the nipple.

“Mmm, yes,” Etta breathes.

“Such a naughty girl. We’ll work up to that,” she murmurs, continuing her teasing of Etta’s stiff peaks. “Now come on, babe. We have to check out of here and get home before we end up in this cabin all day, naked in bed. Mike, you can come over if you want.”

“As much as I want to come over today, I have a few things I need to take care of before work in the morning. I’ll text you, and I’ll be seeing you tomorrow,” I tell them, and as much as I hate it, I have plans. I need to go talk to my Aunt Molly. She asked me to come over last night during the reception. Now that Etta let me in, I plan on popping up all the time, spoiling her rotten. However, there is someone else involved, so I suppose I should keep Jessica in the loop with my plans. Maybe we can tag team those plans occasionally.

Standing from the bed, I pick up my clothes and start sliding them back on. Once dressed, I grab my shoes and put them on before crawling up onto the bed where Etta is still lounging lazily and kissing her. “Bye, babe,” I mumble against her lips before kissing her again. She slides her tongue against the seam of my lips, and I open for her. Etta sucks on my tongue before nipping my bottom lip. She pulls away with a cheeky smile. “I love you.”

“I love you too,” I respond, and my heart fills at just hearing those words come out of her mouth once more. Getting off the bed, I grab my keys off the counter and turn, looking at Jessica.

She has a shit-eating grin covering her face. “Bye, Mike.” Next thing I know Jessica has her arms around me in a tight embrace. I wrap mine around her in return and kiss her temple.

“Take care of our girl.” I wink as I pull away from her and head out the door. All the way to Molly’s, I’m plotting my week and how I plan to pop up to take my girls out.

I rap on Molly’s door a few times, hearing shushed voices and rustling inside. The door opens slightly to reveal Ted in a flannel pajama set, the top buttoned lopsided as all get out. Internally, I cringe, knowing that the sounds coming from behind the door were them getting dressed. I can’t even think about what they were doing before that. Next time, I’ll call ahead. A man can only be traumatized so many times in his life.

“Come in, son. Molly was expecting you sometime today. She’ll be out in just a minute,” Ted tells me, opening the door wider and allowing me to enter. I walk in, making my way to the couch and taking a seat, waiting for Molly.
