I shake my head. She's still putting up unnecessary barriers between us.
"I really must insist,mi dolce bellezza." Without waiting for her answer, I pick her up with one hand under her knees and another behind her back.
She wraps her arms around my neck and sighs. "I suppose you don't know if this is going to become a habit with you either?"
That I have an answer for. I like carrying her and that won't change once her ribs heal. "It definitely is."
"I don't want you examining me like a gynecologist."
"Have you ever seen one? Your medical records didn't show a visit with any specialists." Not even after her hip was shattered. Had her father hired a physical therapist under the table?
"When did you read my medical records? How did you read them?"
"Last night. One of my guys has access to the major medical databases."
"I'm impressed."
"I gave you jewelry worth twenty million dollars yesterday and that's what impresses you."
"What? Those aren't mine. You bought them for Carlotta."
"I bought them for my bride. Which you were. They are yours."

I lay my wife down on our bed and then notice her pebbled nipples. "Arousal or cold?" I ask her.
She blushes. "Both."
Catalina is so damn honest with me, it is addictive.
I grab a soft cashmere throw blanket and drape it over her, but leave her legs exposed. "Lift your knees, Catalina, open yourself for me."
"You can't be serious. Severu, the maid is going to be here any minute with the blow dryer and product for my hair."
"She will leave it in the sitting room. The staff know better than to disturb us in the bedroom if the door is closed."
