“I don’t know them.”
Ivy slaps my arm. “Makes it even better. We know too much about all the guys around here.”
Downfalls of a small town.
I sip my drink, casting another glance in their direction. “They are cute.”
“They are. Why don’t you go talk to them?”
I don’t know why I’m hesitating. It’s not like Blake is here to be the focus of my attention.
“You’re overthinking it,” Ivy tells me.
“Are you going to go over there with me? There’s two of them, and it’s not like you’re seeing anyone.”
Ivy picks up her drink and slams down the rest of it.
“Okay, fine. Let’s go.”
She stands, holding her hand out for me.
I guess we’re doing this.

BLAKE
“Hey, the man of the hour!” A man with brown hair greets me as I find my spot at the bar.
“Nice to meet you…”
“Peter. Peter Winchester.”
“One of Gemma’s brothers.”
He quirks a brow in my direction. “We’ve heard a lot about you.”
“Oh, really?”
“Words gets around the Winchester family.”
“Ah.”
“Can I get you something to drink?” Peter asks.
“Whatever you recommend.”
“How’s your project going?” Peter is expertly mixing my drink behind the bar.
“You know about my project?”
Peter laughs. “Small town. And like I said, nothing stays secret in the Winchester family.”
I’m more than flattered that Gemma’s told her family about me.
“It’s been going a lot better than I thought it would.”
“Glad to hear our small town is inspiring you.”
