I kissed him again until he was like putty in my hands.
“Assume, Jake. Always assume. You can come and go as you please. Keep the spare key you’ve been using.” I ran a finger down his cheek and traced his lips. He parted them and sucked my finger in. “When I got home yesterday, and you and Griff were in the shower, it was one of the most arousing things I’ve ever seen. One day I want him to edge you so you can’t come until I get home, and then I’ll watch you spill your hot cum all over me before I’ve even removed my clothes.”
He let out a breathy moan I caught with my mouth.
When we parted, Jake took a step back and adjusted his erection in his pants. I sighed and did the same.
“Later,” I whispered.
“Later.” He nodded.
I went over to the sink to run some water over my face and wash my hands.
“So you think my idea is really that good?” Jake asked.
“Good? Baby, it could save the resort.”
At that moment, the door to the restroom opened, and Brian came in. Thankfully, there was a respectful distance between Jake and me.
“What’s this? Staff meeting in the men’s room? People will talk, you know,” he said with a snigger.
“What exactly is your problem, Brian?” Jake asked.
“No problem at all,” he said, looking Jake up and down and then walking to the cubicle at the far end.
I shook my head to warn Jake to not react.
“I’ll get started on that report you asked for,” Jake said to me before he left the restroom.
Frank was outside the conference room talking to Hayley by the time I got back with his fruit tart.
“I’m sorry for the delay, Frank. Chef was just finishing these off, so you have a fresh one to take home.”
“Perfect. Let’s talk numbers then.”
I spent the rest of the afternoon with Frank, feeling more hopeful with each minute that passed and each detail we ironed out.
We had a busy few months ahead of us, but if we made this work, we could reopen just in time to catch the late summer holidaymakers.
My only problem during the meeting was that I had to keep myself in check every time I thought about going home after work to spend some time with Griff and Jake.
“Mal, can I ask you a question?”
“Sure.”
“I know the earthquake was a tough event for you, especially with Griff getting caught in it. I just wanted to check in and make sure you were okay.”
There weren’t many times I thought about the father I’d never met, but there was something about Frank that always caught me off guard whenever he went personal.
I tried to shake the feeling off.
“The earthquake was definitely a new experience,” I said. “But we’re okay. Griff is okay. In fact, he won’t stop talking about having a baby boy named after him.”
“Oh yes, he told me about that earlier. What a wonderful thing.”
I got up to tidy up the markers and clean the whiteboard while Frank gathered his things.
“Um…Mal, this may seem like a strange question, but how’s Jake doing?”
